Employee Performance
Introduction of the Project
■ Stress is a mental and physically situation that happens
when sources of a person are not enough to acclimate to
the basic requirements and stress of the circumstance.
■ Consequently, stress is almost certain in conditions than
others and in specific people than others.
■ Stress is categorized as a response to an action that is
set upon an individual.
■ It may be generally supposed as "a situation where one
meets a gap between the present and anticipated
condition.“
■ Merriam Webster (1998) categorized stress as a physical
or emotional feature that reasons real or mental straining
and might be a factor in infection causality.
■ It is an normal response when the mind observes a
danger.
Introduction of the Project
■ At the time when the danger is realized, the human body
releases chemicals that activate its "battle or flight"
reaction.
■ Therapist Richard S. Lazarus represented pressure as "a
situation or sensation that a person meets when he/she
realizes that the requests beat and social assets the
individual can prepare."
■ The stress is divided into two categories:
– Eustress (Positive stress)
– Distress (Negative stress)
■ In the daily life anyhow, stress is viewed as negative. For
the sack of ease, we will use only undesirable
fundamental meaning of stress as this is more important
from the subject point of view.
Objectives and Significance
Objectives
 The core objectives of this research that are to be
achieved are given below
1. To explore the effect of job stress on the
performance of employee,
2. To inspect the type of job stress faced by employees.
3. To categorize the aspects that are responsible for job
stress.
4. To determine the approaches for dealing with job
stress.
 To make recommendations in suitable ways to
proactively and efficiently manage stress in the
workplace.
Objectives and Significance
Significance
■ The investigation can be critical especially for two
arrangements of partners in particular the
Organizations that adopt appropriate processes after
learning about work - related stress implement (OSI) to
decrease this stress
■ In this manner improving the employees‟ work
execution; and the representatives who in the wake of
staying alert can find fitting ways to lessen their own
pressure saving themselves from assortment of
medical problems
■ Furthermore assist the board with carrying out the
pressure the executives techniques.
Research Methodology
 Data Collection Tools:
For data collection, I have used both primary and
secondary sources of data collection.
i. Primary Source
Questionnaire is used to collect data from the employees
of the banks of Pakistan.
ii. Secondary Source
Secondary data is collected from internet and other
related research papers.
Research Methodology
 Level of Organization for Data Collection
The data has been collected from conventional banks
of Pakistan

Unit of Analysis
Unit of Analysis was the group of workers in the
selected banks.

Scale of Questionnaire Used


A five-point Likert Scale questionnaire has been
used to collect the data from banks.
Research Methodology

 Sample Size
The sampling size was 120, 30 participants from each
bank.
 Sampling Technique
The sampling technique is the type of non-probability
sampling that is result-oriented analyzing and that is to
be implemented to collect the data.
Data Processing

■ Correlation and regression analysis will be used to get


the results in this study..

■ Software Used
To get exact results of this research, Microsoft Excel and
SPSS software is used for data analysis.

Conclusion/Findings
 This study sought to examine how performance of employees
in Pakistan's banking industry was impacted by job stress.
 The vast amount of elements that were discovered, listed, and
examined in the studies shows that the study's objectives
were accomplished.
 The study's conclusions indicated that the unfavorable factors
that disturbed workers had a detrimental effect on their output.
 Workers should be stress-free in team to function well for a
banking organization to be more productive.
 Employees at banks deal with a variety of pressures, and a
research found that too much stress has a negative effect on
productivity.
Conclusion/Findings
 In their hypothesis study, (Ashfag & Muhammad, 2013)
hypothesized that stress has a negative impact on employee
performance when it rises over a certain threshold that is
deemed undesirable.
 The results of the questionnaire survey shows that
respondents clearly believed that workload had the greatest
impact on Employee performance.
 This clearly suggests that employees' mental and physical
performance is influenced by stress caused by heavy
workloads, the possibility of misunderstandings with superiors,
and the sheer volume of work they are required to do.
 Most of the respondents were agreed with the statements of
Effect of job stress on employees’ performance that means all
the factors of job stressor are affected of employee
performance.
Conclusion/Findings
 Similarly, most of the banking employees also agreed with the
statements of Approaches for dealing with job stress which
indicates that the banking organizations are working on
approaches to deal and manage work stress.
 So that the stress can be reduced within employees and they
can work efficiently and overall performance of banks can be
increased.
 This result also clearly suggests that employee facing job
security stress in the company.
 The salary is very low and employee is not satisfied with the
job and it will effect on the employee performance as well as
on the performance of banking organizations
Recommendations
The suggestions listed below can be put into practice to
help bank staff feel less stressed.
 To control occupational stress, the HR management in
banks must implement stress management programs to
reduce job stress effectively.
 Banks should increase the salaries of their employees so
that they can be able to work with motivation within the
organization and do not face stress of regarding change of
job and low income. It will result to increase the employee
performance as well as organizational performance.
 Managers should assigned the tasks to employees equally
so that everyone can complete their work on time and no
one need to sit late to complete his work.
Recommendations
 There should be a cut off time to deal with clients so that
employee can be able to schedule their tasks and do not
feel pressure all the day.
 Management should appreciate their employees for their
hard work so that employees feel more encouraged and
work with more motivation. This will result to reduce stress
among employees.
 Overtime work should be avoided to reduce stress among
employees.
