    Introducción
    The Andean or frontino bear is a species
    of bear that lives in South America,
    specifically in the Andes. However, this
    species is in danger of extinction due to
    various factors.
    In this report, the main causes of the
    danger of extinction of the Andean or
    spectacled bear will be analyzed, as well
    as the measures that are being taken to
    protect and conserve this species.
    Hábitat y Distribución
    The Andean or frontino bear is an endemic
    species of the Andes, and can be found in
    countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Peru,
    Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.
    However, its natural habitat is being
    destroyed due to deforestation, illegal
    mining, and the expansion of urban areas.
    This has led to a significant decline in the
    population of Andean bears or spectacled
    bears throughout their distribution range.

    Another factor that contributes to the danger
    of extinction of the Andean or spectacled
    bear is the illegal hunting and trafficking of
    this species. Although the hunting of Andean

    lead to a decrease in their population.
    Conservation and Protection
    To protect and conserve the Andean or
    Spectacled bear, various measures have been
    implemented in the countries where this species

    movement of bears between different habitats.

    and harsh, dark brown in color with white

    axillary nipples.

    Andean bear has an omnivorous diet that
    includes fruits, leaves, honey, insects, and small
    animals. It also plays an important role in

    danger of extinction.

    It is necessary to continue working on the
    conservation and protection of this species
    to guarantee its long-term survival. Only
    through joint efforts of governments,
    environmental organizations and local
    communities will effective protection of the
    Andean or frontino bear be achieved.
