How does a person’s voice

quality and characteristics


affect a message?
Knowing pitch,
volume, tone and
speech rate
pitch
is the degree of highness or lowness of sound.

surprise, scream,
school bell, whistle,
child’s voice
pitch
is the degree of highness or lowness of sound.

whisper
volume
refers to how loud or soft your voice is.
As with speaking rate, you want to avoid the extremes of
being too loud or too soft, but still vary your volume within
an acceptable middle range.

The tone of voice in communication is defined as ‘the
way a person speaks to someone’. It is how you use your
voice to get your point across. If you don’t do it right,
there is a risk of your point getting lost or misinterpreted.

every situation or depending on

To practice voice projection, I have an
example of dialogue. I'll assign you to read and
exchange lines. Make sure you observe the
proper voice, pitch, volume, and tone that the
situation requires.
