Your assignment: Methodology
1. Applying your lessons learned to write a method related to your
research project (see also next slide: materials and methods/experiment
procedure).

2. A list of references and a citation of papers within texts are also needed.
Do use the Harvard reference system (see the PPT slide number 47 of the
Chapter 3-Literature Review).

3. Maximum two pages (A4 size) with 12 font size of the


Times New Roman.

4. Emailing TA this work by next week Sunday.

5. Please check the plagiarism (keeping a max. limit of similarity at 20%)


Materials and Methods/
Experimental Procedure
Include enough detail for the reader to repeat what you will do but
avoid excessive detail.
1. Outline the methods by which the experiment, calculations,
research, etc. will be carried out.
2. Write it in the narrative form, passive voice and in
future/present tense. Do not write it as a series of instructions
such as you will find in an instruction manual.
3. Describe the equipment (manufacturer’s name and location),
include a flow diagram where possible.

Avoid: Including trivial details. Full calculations belong in the “Appendix”.
