WHAT IS MICROSOFT WORD
MS Word is the most wildly used of all processing programme. A word
processing program is a software that includes tools for entering, editing,
and fomatting text & graphic.
MS word is a powerful word processing program that allows you to create
& Exchange a wide range of documents quickly & easily.

Much better presentation of text is possible with formatting features such

• colour text & justification of lines, paragraph.

HOW TO OPEN MS WORD
1. Go to start
2. Click on all programs
3. Select Microsoft office
4. Then click on MS word.
OR
5. Press window + r
6. A run dialogue box will open
7. Then type WinWord
8. Then click on ok.

TITLE TOOL BAR
At the very top of the screen, is title tool bar. The title bar will tell you the
name of the file, and application you are currently using.
The menu and tool bars display basic commands and buttons.

MENU TOOL BAR
It consists primarily of commands in menu buttons and split buttons, with
only a few direct commands, if any.

RULER
There are two types of ruler in the MS WORD (i) Vertical
(ii) Horizontal
Which helps you to determine the distance between paragraphs, lines and
spacing, and pictures, etc.

SCROLL BAR
There are two types of scroll bar in the MS WORD (i) Vertical
(ii) Horizontal
This helps user to scroll the page upside down, as well as left and right, for
the checking and viewing the document.

STATUS BAR
The status bar tells the user about the status of the document, for example
Total number of pages, totals number of words, etc.
It is situated in the bottom left corner of the MS WORD.
