Introduction.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has

revolutionized the way we live and work.
With Patient health monitoring systems,
people can now monitor their health in real-
time from anywhere in the world.
An Patient health monitoring system is a
network of interconnected devices that collect
data on various health parameters such as
heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature.
This data is then analyzed to provide insights
into an individual's health status.

Benefits of Patient
Health Monitoring
Systems.
Patient health monitoring systems offer
several benefits over traditional health
monitoring methods. One of the main
advantages is that they allow for continuous
monitoring of health parameters, providing
real-time feedback on any changes in health
status.
Additionally, Patient health monitoring
systems can help reduce the cost of healthcare
by enabling early detection of health issues,
which can prevent more serious and costly
health problems down the line.
Arduino uno:

The Arduino Uno is an open-source

microcontroller board based on the Microchip
ATmega328P microcontroller and developed
by Arduino.cc and initially released in 2010.
The board is equipped with sets of digital and
analog input/output pins that may be
interfaced to various expansion boards and
other circuits.
16x2 lcd display:

A 16x2 LCD means it can display 16

characters per line and there are 2 such lines.
In this LCD each character is displayed in
5x7 pixel matrix. The 16 x 2 intelligent
alphanumeric dot matrix display is capable of
displaying 224 different characters and
symbols. This LCD has two registers, namely,
Command and Data.
LM35 Temperature Sensor:

The LM35 series are precision integrated-

circuit temperature devices with an output
voltage linearly-proportional to the
Centigrade temperature. The LM35 device
has an advantage over linear temperature
sensors calibrated in Kelvin, as the user is not
required to subtract a large constant voltage
from the output to obtain convenient
Centigrade scaling. The LM35 device does
not require any external calibration or
trimming to provide typical accuracies of
±¼°C at room temperature and ±¾°C over a
full −55°C to 150°C temperature range.
Pulse Sensor:

The Pulse Sensor is a plug-and-play heart-

rate sensor for Arduino. It can be used by
students, artists, athletes, makers, and game
& mobile developers who want to easily
incorporate live heart-rate data into their
projects. The essence is an integrated optical
amplifying circuit and noise eliminating
circuit sensor. Clip the Pulse Sensor to your
earlobe or fingertip and plug it into your
Arduino, you can ready to read heart rate.
Also, it has an Arduino demo code that makes
it easy to use.
Applications of
Patient Health
Monitoring Systems.
Patient health monitoring systems have a
wide range of applications, from personal
health monitoring to clinical settings.
In personal health monitoring, individuals can
use Patient health monitoring systems to track
their health status and receive real-time
feedback on their health parameters. In
clinical settings, Patient health monitoring
systems can be used to monitor patients
remotely, reducing the need for hospital visits
and improving patient outcomes.

Future scope :
The future scope of the internet of things in
healthcare seems quite bright as more and
more IoT devices are connecting every day,
showing the consumers’ dependability on this
technology. With the help of IoT-enabled
wearables and monitoring devices, healthcare
practitioners and caregivers can easily track
patients’ health from remote locations.
Conclusion.
Patient health monitoring systems have the
potential to revolutionize the healthcare
industry by providing continuous monitoring
of health parameters and enabling early
detection of health issues.
While there are challenges to implementing
these systems, such as ensuring data security
and privacy, the benefits they offer make
them a promising solution for improving
healthcare outcomes.
