Content.
- My Music video for this sing will be about a heartbroken young woman, possibly going through a divorce or a serious break up. -She still loves him, but is very pessimistic, she speaks of all the negative aspects of their relationship and is no longer upset, shes moved on through the lyrics and therefore I will reflect these emotions in the video. -She is performing (singing) the song live in some parts of the video to an audience, a very emotional performance (possibly something similar to Adeles brit awards performance), but in some parts it switches to a narrative storyline where she is sitting alone, in a park reminiscing and thinking about her tragic loss , the surroundings will be countryside like, so it connotes a fresh start but also a lonely/isolated lifestyle.

Content.
I will include flashbacks in black and white of when her and her ex were together, but only negative aspects are shown such as arguments and disagreements, so the narrative basically connotes she is not the one missing out on anything as it was never a perfect relationship anyway. -Some shots will show her crying alone in bed, looking at the empty other side of the bed, thinking shes missing out and she is not quite over it yet, basically emphasizing on how alone she feels.

How will it be integrated with my ancillary products?


-I will have a DVD cover and a magazine spread and
these will integrate with the music video because the artist will be present in all 3 of my products, with the same image (style) in all three, so it appeals to the same audience. - The colour scheme will be similar across all three products to help sell the brand (people will associate the products with one another if they look similar, and therefore recognise the brand), the colours will be neutral and light as this will connote the message behind her musicsoft colours will represent her voice and lyrics. Also the font for any writing will be simple such as Arial because it connotes something serious but also could suggest a blunt attitude which is relevant to the lyrics.

Audience.
Age category: 18-40 because the music is to do with heart break and a more mature audience will understand this more then younger teenagers, the lyrics are serious and need to be understood by those with more experience. Gender: Female, as it is from a female perspective and therefore a female audience are more likely to relate to what she is saying. Ethnicity: All ethnic backgrounds as anyone can relate to or experience heartbreak. Class: Any class, as any one could fall in love and experience heart break.

Audience.

Hobbies & interests: As I have targeted a female audience, they are likely to enjoy shopping, being pampered, family time, dinner parties and spending time with friends. Existing media consumption: They will listen to the radio often, stations such as Radio 1 and BBC1xtra, they may also watch music awards that are in relation to the blues genre. They may read magazines such as vogue and glamour that may interest woman of this age group.

Genre-Style & Form.


Genre- Style and form -My music video will be similar to other artists that are within the same genre, for example Adele as her songs are often about journeys through heartbreak. The video will relate to real life.

Representation.
My ideology is about women falling in love and then getting hurt. This works with the stereotypes of women being inferior and always getting hurt as they fall in love easily. The stereotype is shown throughout the music video as all throughout she is singing about her heartbreak and either crying or sitting alone, showing shes affected, which the female audience can relate to.

Narrative.
My narrative will be non linear as it doesnt run in chronological order all the way throughout. DVD links: -Interview with the artist -Behind the scenes -Main locations used -The music video -Interview of the artist -Competition to meet the artist Artist playing the piano and performing on a stage. In some parts of the video she will be in a park rocking on the swings. I want the video to follow her story mainly, so the singer will be the main focus of the video. I have been looking at music video which I feel are part of the same genre, for example, Adeles rolling in the deep video is the style Im going for, as she is portrayed throughout the video as very isolated, I will conform to this style of video but make it my own by using different locations.

Props/Locations/Costumes/My influences.
The main props I will use are a bed, a chair, a mirror and a swing, all of which are single props and therefore will reinforce the isolated feeling. The locations will be a house, mainly a bedroom where the main character is in her own space and a park/field where she can also be alone and it connotes a fresh start or her clearing her mind. Costumes will involve vintage clothing, simple but with some statement pieces that could scream out emotions to the audience. Nothing will be glamorous as it would clash with the style of music and also the lyrics. My influences for this style of video are Adele as she sings about the same topics, and Amy Winehouse, they all have very different voices but are all quiet powerful and emotional. There videos are often simple and realistic and this is what I will base my video around.
