SITUATIONAL OVERVIEW
A storm off Surigao del Sur has entered the Philippine area of
responsibility (PAR) Sunday night with storm signals already raised in
several Mindanao areas.
At 4:00 AM, it has weakened into a Low Pressure Area (LPA). All TCWS
are now lifted. 15 February 2018 At 10:00 AM, the LPA was estimated
based on all available data at 220 km South Southeast of Puerto Princesa
City, Palawan (8.1°N, 119.8°E). Latest analysis indicates that significant
re-development of this weather disturbance into a Tropical Depression is
still likely. (De-Registration

The CDRRMO receives information of the approaching LPA or
possible typhoon storm to enter the PAR……
“State weather bureau PAGASA forecasted the entry of tropical storm
spotted at 1,035 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at around 7
p.m. Signal No. 1 is hoisted over Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte,
Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental”.
The CDRRMO to continuously monitor the weather status
report and track of the cyclone from PAGASA and flag
updates through its social media accounts and facebook
page (Roxas City DRRMO)
The LDRRMC meeting was called to discuss about the status of the
approaching cyclone and the preparations and possible response to
be undertaken….
Heighten alert status in preparation or anticipation for any
eventualities such as flood, landslides and etc.
