Centre of Mass of A Plane Lamina: Done By: Amro Mohammed Akl 9I
The document describes how to find the center of mass, or center of gravity, of a plane lamina. It explains that the center of gravity is the average location of the weight of an object. It then provides instructions to find the center of gravity of a lamina: take a lamina with three holes near the edge, suspend it from each hole to draw a line of equilibrium, and the point where the three lines intersect is the center of gravity. The document also lists the materials needed, including a lamina, scissors, pen/pencil, plumb bob, and pin.

CENTRE OF MASS OF
A PLANE LAMINA C
Done By: Amro Mohammed Akl 9I
What is the center of gravity? • The center of gravity is the average location of the weight of an object. We can completely describe the motion of any object through space in terms of the translation of the center of gravity of the object from one place to another, and the rotation of the object about its center of gravity if it is free to rotate. How to find the CENTRE OF MASS OF A PLANE LAMINA • Take a lamina with three holes near the edge of the lamina, now suspend the lamina through them, one by one. Draw a line of equilibrium for each suspension point. The point of intersection of these three lines would be the center of gravity. What you will need : • A pair of scissors to cut the holes a pen or pencil to draw the lines and a plumb bob and irregular shape and a pin to hang the irregular shape and the plumb bob. Thank you !!!
