Anti-Child Pornography Act of

2009
(RA 9775)
This Act is known as the Anti-Child Pornography Act of
2009. This is an Act defining the crime of child
pornography, prescribing penalties therefor and for other
purposes.

The State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation


building and shall promote and protect their physical,
moral, spiritual, intellectual, emotional psychological,
and social well-being.
It aims to raise the awareness about the harm of
pornography to women and children, and also the
harms of pornography to its users. to relationships,
and to the society in general.
The youth should be challenged to take action against
pornography, to educate them on the dangers of it, and
to urge them to reclaim their dignity.
The pornographers have also taken advantage of the latest
technological inventions (DVDs, the internet, cell phones,
etc.) to make more profit and increase the sales of their
misogynistic materials.
The sexual objectification of women can be easily noticed
on cable TV shows, MTV, reality TV shows, in fashion,
advertising, men and women's magazines, music videos,
etc.
Inter-Agency Council Against Child
Pornography (IACACP)
• Purpose: To develop and implement policies and programs to combat
child pornography.
• Composition: Multi-agency body composed of various government
agencies, non-government organizations, and private sector
representatives.
• Activities: Monitoring and reporting of child pornography cases,
coordination of law enforcement agencies, and provision of victim
support services.
Penalties for Violators
• Penalties: Imprisonment and fines, depending on the severity of the
offense.
• Examples: Distributing, selling, or showing child pornography is
punishable by imprisonment of up to 20 years and a fine of up to 5
million pesos.

forms of sexual exploitation.
• Penalties: Imprisonment and fines, depending on the severity of the
offense.
• Examples: Using a child for prostitution is punishable by
imprisonment of up to life imprisonment and a fine of up to 5 million
pesos.
