  INTRODUCTION:

Around 700AD the general


solution for  the quadratic
equation, this time using
 numbers, was devised by a
Hindu  mathematician called
Brahmagupta,  who, among
other things, used  irrational
numbers; he also recognized
 two roots in the solution.
QUADRATIC FORMS:
Quadratic forms are homogeneous quadratic polynomials in n variables.  In the cases of
one, two, and three variables they are called unary, binary,  and ternary and have the
following explicit form:

APPLICATIONS:
1)Quadratic equations are used in  many real-life situations
such as  calculating the areas of an enclosed  space, the
speed of an object, the  profit and loss of a product, or 
curving a piece of equipment for  designing.

2)If an object is projected, then the  place where the


object will reach  the ground, the distance traveled  by the
object, and the time taken  by the object to reach the peak
 height can all be determined using  quadratic equations.
APPLICATIONS:

3)Control systems: Quadratic forms are used


in the analysis and design of control systems.
In particular,they are used in the design of
linear quadratic regulators (LQR) and
optimal control systems. These controllers
are widely used in engineering applications,
including aerospace, automotive, and
robotics, to stabilize and control systems
while minimizing the control effort and the
impact of disturbances.
APPLICATIONS:

4)Signal processing: Quadratic forms are used in


signal processing and communication systems. For
example, they are used in the design of linear
predictive coding (LPC) filters, which are widely
used in speech and audio processing to model and
compress signals.

Quadratic forms have a wide range of applications in engineering, including


structural analysis, control systems, and signal processing. Overall, the
