KINGS
 The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are a franchise cricket team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu,
which plays in the IPL.
 Founded in 2008, the team plays its home matches at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in
Chennai.
 The team served a two-year suspension from the IPL starting July 2015 for the alleged
involvement of their owners in the 2013 IPL betting case and won the title in its comeback
season.
 The team is captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and coached by Stephen Fleming.
 The Super Kings have lifted the IPL title thrice in 2010, 2011 and 2018.
ROYAL CHALLENGERS
BANGLORE
 RCB is a franchise cricket team based in Bangalore, which participates in the Indian premier
league.
 It was founded in 2008 by united spirits. The team has M. Chinnaswamy stadium at Bangalore
for its home ground.
 The team is currently led by the captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli. RCB has won
zero IPL titles so far. BUT team 2020 is on their journey to WIN THIS TIME.
 RCB recent additions before the 2020 IPL are- Aaron finch , Chris Morris , Joshua Philippe ,
Devdutt Paddikal , Dale Steyn , Shahbaz Ahamad , Isuru Udana and Adam Zampa .
MUMBAI INDIANS
 Mumbai Indians (MI) are the Mumbai-based Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise that play their
home matches at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
 They are one of the two teams that have won the IPL title thrice i.e 2013, 2015 and 2017 and fourth in
2019.
 Founded in 2008, the team is owned by India's biggest conglomerate, Reliance Industries, through its
100% subsidiary IndiaWin Sports.
 MI is currently lead by Rohit Sharma and coached by Mahela Jayawardene.
 The motto of the team is "Duniya Hila Denge Hum...", which translates to We will rock the world.
KINGS XI PUNJAB
• KXIP are a franchise cricket team based in Mohali (Chandigarh CR), Punjab, that plays in the IPL.
Established in 2008, the franchise is jointly owned by  Preiti Zinta and lead by K.L Rahul.
• The team plays its home matches at the PCA stadium, Mohali.
• The kings xi Punjab's catchment areas are Kashmir, Jammu, Himachal Padesh, Punjab and Haryana—
evident from the letter sequence "k j h p h" in the banner of the team's logo.
• They have bought Glenn Maxwell, Deepak Hooda, James Neesham, Prabhsimran Singh, Chris
Jordan, Ravi Bishnoi, Sheldon Cottrell for their 2020 squad. The retained players include KL
Rahul, Karun Nair, Mohammed Shami, Nicholas Pooran,  Chris Gayle, Mandeep Singh, Mayank
Agarwal, Arshdeep Singh and Murugan Ashwin.
DELHI CAPITALS

The Delhi Capital formerly known as Delhi Daredevils, is a franchise cricket team
based in Delhi, which participates in the Indian Premier League.
 Delhi Daredevils changed their name to Delhi Capitals in 2019. The team has Arun
Jaitley stadium, in Delhi for its home ground.
The team is currently led by the young Indian batsman, Shreyas Iyer. One of the
most successful captains of world cricket, Ricky Ponting is DC's head coach.
DC's recent additions before the 2020 IPL are- Ajinkya Rahane, Jason Roy,
Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Woakes, Marcus Stoinis, Lalit Yadav, Alex Carey,
Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohit Sharma, Tushar Despande
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS
 The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are a franchise cricket team representing the city
of Kolkata in the Indian Premier League.
 The franchise is owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. The home of the Knight
Riders is the iconic Eden Gardens stadium.
 The franchise, which has gained immense popularity due to its association with celebrity
owners, qualified for the IPL playoffs for the first time in 2011.
 They became the IPL champions in 2012, by defeating Chennai Super Kings in the final.
They repeated the feat in 2014, defeating Kings XI Punjab. The Knight Riders hold the
record for the longest winning streak by any Indian team in T20s.
 The team is currently lead by Eoin Morgan.

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD
 SRH are a franchise cricket team based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, that plays in
the Indian Premier League (IPL).
  The franchise is owned by Kalanithi Maran of the Sun TV Network and was founded in 2012
after the Hyderabad-based Deccan Chargers were terminated by the IPL.
  The team is currently captained by David Warner and coached by Trevor Bayliss. 

 Their primary home ground is the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.
 The team is considered one of the best bowling sides, often admired for its ability to defend
low totals.
 David Warner is the leading run scorer for the side, having won the Orange Cap 3 times, in
2015, 2017, and 2019.
RAJASTHAN ROYALS
 
 RR is one of the original eight IPL franchises when IPL began in 2008. 
 In 2008, Rajasthan Royals became the first ever franchise to win the IPL title.
  In 2016, Rajasthan Royals was caught in a spot-fixing scandal.
 Notably, players Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, Sanju Samson, and Varun Aaron,
star in the documentary.
 The team is currently lead by Steve Smith and coached by Sharne Warne.
