1.0 INTRODUCTION
 About Sunway Group:
• Established in 1974.
• One of Malaysia’s largest conglomerates
company.
• It has 12 business divisions that operates
across 50 locations worldwide.
• Its business divisions comprise of Real Estate,
Construction, Hospitality, Retail, Leisure,
Commercial, Trading and Manufacturing,
Building Materials, Quarrying, Healthcare,
Education and Real Estate Investment Trust
(REIT).

2.0 PURPOSE OF THE

1. One of the main reason Sunway Group created this website is to promote
their service of education, Sunway Education Group. One of their education
institution, Sunway University, is ranked within top 2% of universities in the
world. Sunway Education Group works closely in partnership, collaborating
with world-class partners Lancaster University and Le Cordon Bleu
International, to offer premier education with international recognition.
 2.0PURPOSE OF THE WEBSITE

2. Next, Sunway Group also intend to promote one of their best services of
healthcare, Sunway Healthcare Group (SHG). SHG is a leading integrated
private healthcare group with a network of hospitals and health services in
Malaysia. Their reputation is well-known in the region as their hospitals
have received more than 43,000 international patients from over 135
countries. The company’s target audience are in three categories:
members of the public, healthcare professionals, and the corporate
organizations.

- My first impression is when I first
clicked into website is that it
surprises me with the amount of
services Sunway Group provided to
the public. Before fully discovering
about their website, I only know
Sunway Group provides malls,
healthcare, and education in their
businesses.

FIRST IMPRESSION ABOUT THE WEBSITE

Sheldon Lim Yu Xin:

- My first impression when I visit the
website is that I can see they have a lot of
educational, medical, digitalization, and
working services. Also, the web page has
a description of one of the malls about
Sunway Pyramid, Velocity, Putra Mall, etc.
to let people go there for shopping and
have fun with their indoor and outdoor
theme parks.

QUIRKS OR ANNOYANCES FOUND ON THE WEBSITE
Ng King Lok:
- There isn’t anything that I found
interesting about this website, but a
problem in it. For example, the picture
on the left side shows is one of the
pages of the website, it shows a
slightly low visibility for the ‘SUNWAY
AT A GLANCE’ sentence in the middle
due to the colour that had been used
for the background picture shows a
very low contrast between the text
and background colours.

QUIRKS OR ANNOYANCES FOUND ON THE WEBSITE
Sheldon Lim Yu Xin:
- There isn’t any interesting features that I
was able to look for, but I found something
that bothers me a lot, which is most of the
category to every difference topic consist of
too many words. If a reader visit the website
searching for some information, it will
interrupt him/her while he/she is doing
some research. This causes the reader to
spend more time than average in order to
look for the points he was planning to find.

The two pictures above shows the pages of “Founder and Chairman” and “Board of
Directors”. The ruin I found on these pages are it shows the Owner of Sunway Group
repeatedly appeared in both pages. Rather than showing it on both pages, they could
instead just show it in one page which is the “Founder and Chairman” page and put his
information together on it.

We found that a few of categories of the website page looks too simple and it is hard to inspire people to
keep on looking at it. They could’ve add some animation on the background picture. For example, the
background picture above can add some cloud movement and traffic flows with it to make it more
interesting. They can do it the same as one of their webpages in the same website:

From the pictures above, we can see that there are a lot of context within the webpage.
Even though it is too long but the information that they’ve provided to the public is
very readable since that it is very specific on every single context.

APPEARANCE OF THE WEBSITE

The colour that was used for the website is too bright and similar between the
foreground and background. This causes the text in front of the background picture
very difficult to be seen.

ACCESSIBILITY/VISIBILITY OF THE WEBSITE

The pictures above shows that the left side is the original colour seen by normal vision
and the right side is the colour seen by colour blinded people. It is not accessible for all
users with different background due to the fact that it only consist of pure white tone.
But, it is accessible for colour blinded people.

As we can see, the picture on the left side is lack of credibility and the webpage design
looks like it was created during the early 2000s and hasn’t been updated since then
compare to Sunway Group’s webpage that is shown in the picture on the right side. It
was more user-friendly and everything is well organized.

Overall, there seems to be not much issues regarding about the Sunway Group’s website, most of
the design for the website is nice and they have kept on updating the information about the
company into the website every time and they have added new designs for the website. The only
issue that we’ve found is that the context for every webpage consists too many words, and some
of the webpage’s background picture is extremely colourful which causes the word in front of the
picture difficult to be seen, especially for those who have colour blind.

The picture above is one of the context of a webpage of the website. The things that we could
improve is to make the context as short as possible and more focused on the main points, so that
it would be easier for the readers to look at it.
 5.0CONCLUSION

Another thing that we can improve is the colour and the brightness of the background picture,
we can try to change it into a better colour to match with the words in the middle of the picture
so that it would be easier for the users to look at it, especially for the colour-blinded people.

In Conclusion, these are the things that we learned in this website. It is a very good website for
every users to do research in it because it has a lot of unique and interesting designs and we can
also learn to fix the errors for the websites so that we will learn not to make the same mistakes
when we are creating our own websites.
