Jane Austen was an English novelist renowned for her witty social commentary in classics such as Pride and Prejudice. The book follows Elizabeth Bennet and her relationship with the haughty Mr. Darcy. Against the backdrop of Regency-era England, Austen explores themes of class, marriage, and social etiquette through the developing romance between the headstrong Elizabeth and prideful Darcy. Over the course of the novel, prejudices are overcome and true love emerges. The book is a work of fiction but provides vivid depictions of English middle-class life in the early 19th century. I would highly recommend this romantic comedy to

How do you understand the meaning of
this quatation? What is the message of this quatation? What do you know about Jane Austen? Jane Austen, (born December 16, 1775, Steventon, Hampshire, England—died July 18, 1817, Winchester, Hampshire), English writer who first gave the novel its distinctly modern character through her treatment of ordinary people in everyday life. She published four novels during her lifetime: Sense and Sensibility (1811), Pride and Prejudice (1813), Mansfield Park (1814), and Emma (1815). In these and in Persuasion and Northanger Abbey (published together posthumously, 1817), she vividly depicted English middle-class life during the early 19th century. Her novels defined the era’s novel of manners, but they also became timeless classics that remained critical and popular successes two centuries after her death. Types of Books All the books can be broadly classified under two main categories: FICTION and NON- FICTION. Fiction Fiction books contain a made-up story – a story that did not actually happen in real life. These stories are derived from the imagination and creativity of the authors and are not based on facts. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, 1984 by George Orwell, Harry Potter Series by J. K. Rowling are some of the examples of fiction books. Nonfiction Non-fiction or nonfiction books are factual books. Unlike fiction books, they are based on facts and information that can be verified to be true. Some examples of non-fiction books are The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin by Benjamin Franklin, How to Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie, an encyclopedia, etc. Sometimes you may come across another category named semi-fiction. Do not be confused. Even semi-fiction books are taken to be work of fiction. Apart from the made-up story, these books also include some factual information. For example, the famous book The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is based on real historical events of Afghanistan, but the story told in this book is actually a made up one. We use this expression to talk about habits or repeated actions
in the past which we don't do in the present. We also use it to talk about states in the past which are no longer true. For example: I used to have long hair (but now I have short hair). He used to smoke (but now he doesn't smoke). They used to live in India (but now they live in Germany). Watch out! With the negative and the question it's 'use' and not 'used': Did you use to be a teacher? Did he use to study French? She didn't use to like chocolate, but she does now. I didn't use to want to have a nice house. Note! With this 'used to' there is no verb 'be'. We CAN'T say 'I am used to have long hair'. Practice Examples:
I used to read …… but now I
read…. Did you use to read---------------in your childhood ? I didn’t use to read---------------------- when I was ten.
