:-

The global warming refers to the historical warming of the Earth's surface based upon worldwide temperature records that have been maintained by humans in 1880s. Global warming is the combined result of human-caused emissions of greenhouse gases and changes in solar irradiance, while climate change refers to any change in the state of climate that can be identified by changes in the average . (e.g., temperature, precipitation), and that persists for an period, typically longer.

Defi iti

:-

 Gl b l w r i g is the bserved d r jected i creases i the average temperature f Earth's atmosphere and oceans.

Effects on Earth: Although we are aware about the various global warming effects on Earth, we don't really know when we'll be confronted by them. Glacier melting, climate change and mass extinction are just some of the many effects of global warming on earth. In fact, the United States Geological Survey has revealed that by the year 2030 the renowned Glacier National Park in the United States will be left without any glaciers!

Causes: In the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report scientists conclude that "warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global average sea level" and, furthermore, they conclude with "very high confidence (at least a 9 out of 10 chance of being correct) that the globally averaged net effect of human activities since 1750 has been one of warming" of the Earth's climate system.

Precautions:This isnt a happy story kids, but its a reminder of the reason why Tree Hugger is here. A recent report, Meeting The Climate Challenge purports that the world has nearly reached its global-warming danger threshold. In as little as 10 years, perhaps even less, their report indicates, we may have reached the point of no return concerning global warming...

Conclusion: The bottom line it is coming and we have to figure out what we can do for catastrophies like katrina. This is gonna hit everyone, not just the poor or the democrats or the catholics--we're all in a heap of trouble and the sooner we accept this FACT. We should put serious effort to overcome the problems due to it. We must try our best to solve the problem and strive as much as possible to reinstate our earth for sake of future generation.
