INTRODUCTION

Book Management system is designed to manage the moment of books. The software
solution is designed based on the system requirement. The people involve the content of the
operation and the activity to be performed. Book Management System is a comprehensive
library management solution that is suitable for both large and small libraries. Its flexible
design enables Book Management System to be installed in a range of Library
organizations, ranging from public libraries, through to academic, joint use and special
libraries. This Book Management System Software is capable of handling Books with
utilizing the latest advancements in the Information Technology to provide and improve
library services.
Abstract

Book management system is a project which aims in developing a computerized system to maintain all
the daily work of library .This project has many features which are generally not available in normal
library management systems. It contains work like the number of the available books, the number of books
issued, the number of books to return or renew. It helps to maintain a database that is useful to enter new
books and records of books borrowed by the members with the respective submission dates. It will reduce
the manual work done by the librarian to maintain the record of the library . Overall this project of ours is
being developed to help the students as well as staff of library to maintain the library in the best way
possible.
Hardware Requirement

Minimum processor i3-i5.


Ram: 8GB
Rom: minimum 5 GB free space.

Conclusion

This project provides a computerized version of book management system which will benefit the students
as well as the staff of the library. It helps in searching books, staff can generate reports and do book
transactions. It also has a facility for student login where student can login and can see status of books
issued as well request for book or give some suggestions. It has a facility of teacher’s login where
teachers can add lectures notes and also give necessary suggestion to library and also add info about
workshops or events happening in our college or nearby college in the online notice board.
