GREEK MYTHOLOGY

• Greek Mythology is the set of stories about the gods,


goddesses, heroes and rituals of Ancient Greeks. ... The most
popular Greek Mythology figures include Greek Gods like
Zeus, Poseidon & Apollo, Greek Goddesses like Aphrodite,
Hera & Athena and Titans like Atlas.

CRONUS

Cronus was the Titan God of the Harvest, and King of the
Titans. Also known as Father Time. Cronus was the son of
Gaia and Ouranós in Greek mythology. His wife was the
Titaness Rhea. Cronus ate his children because he was scared
of getting replaced, this worked until his wife tricked him
into swallowing a rock instead of Zeus.
MOUNTAIN OF OLYMPUS

• In Greek mythology, mountain Olympus is


house of gods and it was created after the
battle where gods defeated Titans. The twelve
Olympians that resided at mountain were Zeus,
Hera, Poseidon, Athena, Apollo, Artemis,
Hestia, Demeter, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares and
Hephaestus.
THE BIG THREE

• The Big Three are the three most powerful gods among the
Olympians - Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, the three sons of
Kronos and Rhea. While the Big Three gods are the
strongest, Zeus is stated to be the most powerful amongst
his brothers
ZEUS

• Zeus is the god of the sky in ancient Greek


mythology protector, and father of all gods and
humans. Zeus is often depicted as an older man
with a beard and is represented by symbols
such as the lightning bolt and the eagle.
POSEIDON

• Poseidon, in ancient Greek religion, god of the sea


earthquakes, and horses. ... Poseidon was a brother
of Zeus and of Hades, When the three brothers
deposed their father, the kingdom of the sea fell by
lot to Poseidon.
HADES

• Hades, Greek Aïdes (“the Unseen”), also called


Pluto or Pluton in ancient Greek religion, god of
the underworld. Hades was a son of the Titans
Cronus and Rhea, and brother of Zeus, Poseidon,
Demeter, Hera, and Hestia.

ATHENA

• Athena is one of my favourite Goddess. Like all


the Olympians, Athena was an immortal goddess
and could not die. She was one of the most
intelligent and wisest of the Greek gods. She was
also good at war strategy
ARTEMIS

• Artemis, in Greek religion, the goddess of wild animals, the


hunt, and the moon; she was identified by the Romans with
Diana. Artemis was the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the
twin sister of Apollo. Artemis was the favourite goddess.
PAN

• Pan was the god of wild nature and


hunting, he was half human-had legs
and horns. His father is unclear it may
be Zeus Hermes or Apollo, and his
mother may have been Penelope
Odysseus or Aphrodite.
ARES

• In Greek mythology, Ares was the Greek god of


War. The Romans named Ares Mars. Ares was
born to the king of the gods, Zeus, and the queen
of the gods, Hera, although both of his parents
disliked him. He had many children. Some mortal
and some divine.
