Introduction to the fault recorder

 Brief introduction to the cabinet

 Fault recorder is normally supplied in complete set in panel (cabin
et) configuration. Such panel (cabinet) adopts TG1 series (or made to user or
der). Standard outline dimensions are 2260(2360)mm×800mm×600mm.
 Front door of panel (cabinet) adopts toughened glass to facilitate dail
y operation and maintenance. Rear door is of two-leaf structure and provide
d with ventilation and heat radiating holes. On sides, rail holes are reserved.
Small busbar bracket is installed on top of panel (cabinet). The panel (cabine
t) contains fault recorder, keyboard, mouse, printer, exchange (option), MO
DEM (option) and GPS device (option).

The five LED indicators are:

 Run: green. During normal equipment operation, the Run indicator will be flashing
all the time.
 Data: green. During normal equipment operation, the Data indicator will be flashing
all the time.
 Fault Recording: red. after initialization and during equipment operation, Fault
Recording indicator will be off. When fault recording is activated, this indicator will
glow. After fault recording is stopped, this indicator will continue to glow. It will only
go out after pressing signal reset button or remote reset is carried out.
 Recording in Progress: red. After initialization and during equipment operation, this
indicator will be off. When fault recording is activated, this indicator will continue to
glow. After fault recording is stopped, this indicator will go out.
 Reserved indicator.
 Note: During fault recording, the Fault Recording indicator can also go out after
local or remote reset. In this case, after end of fault recording, this indicator will not
be lit again.

 Fault recording CPU module (3X)
 Fault recording CPU including DSP part and CPU part.
 DSP part consists of high performance DSP chip and FPGA. This part
performs Fourier transform and calculation of relevant quantities,
determines if fault recording shall be activated, transmits acquired real time
data to main CPU, and also receives commands of main CPU.
 During normal operation, sampling data transmitted by DSP are
stored in specified RAM zone and refreshed cyclically; during which process
hardware self test etc. will be performed. In addition, real time stable state
data will be transmitted to MMI module.
 Once activation conditions are satisfied, data will be recorded
according to requirement on fault recording period, and relevant signal
relays and front panel signal lamps will be activated at the same time. Fault
recording data files are stored locally in the large capacity memory of the
CPU part, and automatically uploaded to MMI module for backup storage.
The MMI module will provide dual imaging memory of fault data files in two
zones.
 The software adopts RTOS that features good real time property,
high efficiency, high performance, and less occupation of system resources,
thus resolving the conflict between high-speed recording and limited cache
and realizing true high-speed real time fault recording
 Acquisition module (SA) (4X)
The acquisition module acquires analog signals and transmits acquired real
time data (fault recording data) to dual port RAM for memory and reading
by RCU.
 MMI module (9X)
 MMI module adopts embedded 32-bit processor. 800×600 resolution
large screen true color LCD and Windows graphic interface are provided.
Supervisory control managing module exchanges data with fault recording
main unit via internal Ethernet bus, to realize supervisory control,
communication, management, waveform analysis, stable state fault
recording, and dual imaging backup memory of fault recording records.
 Digital signal isolating module (11X~14X optional according to project
requirement)
 The digital signal isolating module adopts high precision, wide
temperature range, military grade capacitance-resistance components and
optoelectronic isolator, providing stability and reliability and allowing direct
acquisition of 110/220V digital signals.
 Analog signal acquisition module (15X~21X optional according
to project requirement)
Analog signal acquisition module consists of high precision CT, PT and DC
acquisition module dedicated to fault recording. Isolation, acquisition and
transform of analog signals will be performed.
