Enterprise Resource Planning system, popularly known as ERP system, has become very popular as an enterprise management software tool.
The primary purpose of a College ERP is to provide mechanisms for automated
processing and management of the entire institution. It reduces data error, and ensures that information is managed efficiently and is always up-to-date. Maintenance of files is efficient and flexible and manpower will be reduced. OBJECTIVES
Reason for choosing ERP for education are :-
• accessing information from paper files is difficult task,
• lack of means to access old records, • wastage of hundreds of hours by staff each month manually entering information or performing task & generating results. RELATED WORK
• SIM Portal This College ERP is used worldwide, but it is not user friendly. Moreover, this is a paid tool.
• MyCamu This ERP system is used in our college . Everyone is familiar with this for a while now. It has its several drawbacks including delays in data updating and attendance related issues. APPLICATIONS
• This ERP system is being developed for our college and it will help overcome the various drawbacks of any third party ERPs. • Any update can be implemented as soon as it is requested to the admin and the development team. • In future, it can be escalated to use in multiple colleges. CONCLUSIONS
• Higher education institutions are persisting in this era by adopting and
implementing ERP system. • The benefits of a properly selected and implemented ERP system can be significant. • It will be a great ease for the administrator as the amount of time consumption is reduced . REFERENCES
