Subject Allocation

The document describes a proposed subject allocation management system that would allow staff to book preferred subjects online and administrators to manage subjects, sections, and staff. The system aims to automate and improve on manual subject allocation processes. It would use PHP and MySQL on the backend and have features for staff to apply for subjects, view statuses, and for administrators to create/update subjects and sections, manage staff, and view allocation reports. Diagrams show the proposed system architecture, modules, workflows, and use cases. The system is intended to make allocation easier to access and manage.

SUBJECT ALLOCATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
AIM OF THE PROJECT

 The “Subject Allocation and Management” is gone for building up a web-based framework, which deals with the action of
allocating subject with corresponding staff.

 The proposed system application allow staff to book the preferred subject and release the same.

 As preference provide for higher experience to reallocate the booked subject from other. Also application limit staff to book
maximum number of subject to book and keep the experience in count.

 Admin will manage the subject, section and staff. The proposed application is implement in PHP and MySQL as backend.
OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT

 Subject management systems (SMS) are predominant in supporting all levels of education.

 Many educational institutions rely on open source systems that are free. Even though such systems are mature enough,
there is a constant need to be extended.

 In this work, we present our experiences in allocation to extend an open subject to the staff.

 We expect that our work will help toward forming a framework for facilitating community
SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
 Processor : Intel 3
 Motherboard : Intel mother board – VTx Enabled
 Ram : 4 gb
 Hard disk drive : 500 gb

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
 Front end : html5, css3, bootstrap
 Back end : php, mysql
 Control end : angular java script

Android TOOLS:
 Android Emulator
 xampp-win32-5.5.19-0-VC11
 Android Studio

PHP Tools:

EXISTING SYSTEM

 In early days, subject scheduling was done manually which takes lot of time and patients.

 It also increases paper work which is difficult to maintain.

 Subject was created by a single person or some group involved in thought of managing time effectively.

 Even managing the record is done using the attendance register for staff.

 The staff need to submit their leave application manually to respective authorities.

 There will be a chance of losing the data.

DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM

 Lack of privacy

 Risk in the management of the data.

 Less Security

 Low co-ordination between

 Less User-friendly

 Accuracy not guaranteed

 Not in reach of distant users.

 There is no storage and automation if users have some enquiry.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

 The application is mainly used in colleges in which it takes less time to maintain. In some cases, it can cause problems like
when the faculty are absent then they should fill that empty slot immediately.

 In such cases application can work by itself with little or no direct human control. Hence, system builds practical approach
for constructing lecture course timetabling for every subject system.

 The administrator can view the user’s details. Only authorized users can login. The administrator has full rights to access
the database.

 The staff details can be viewed only by the administrator. The staff can be created or modified only by the administrator.
Staff will book subject wise allotment then user have to booking their subjects timing with their section.
ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM

 Easy to use because all Details of subject allocation servicing will quickly available 24 x 7 on mobile.

 It can be easily accessed globally with help of Internet.

 Maintaining records will be easier because all details are stored in database and retrieved easily from it.

 Interactive and attractive design.

 Provides online subject allocation and servicing easily.

 User can easily pick the subject reservation

CONCLUSION

 The web application will work based on the user needs. Several user-friendly coding has also accepted.

 This demonstrates to be a strong package that assures all the necessities of college, the objective of the software planning is to
provide a framework that enables manger to make practical estimates made within a time limit at the commencement of the
software project and should be updated regularly as a project growth.

 The graphical user interface used in this application provides an easy way in understanding how application works and also makes
ease in providing the input.

 The application is provided with the necessary details of faculty and subjects which are stored in database (sql server) and then by
making easy of the available data it generated the lecture course timetable with minimum time when compared to manual
generation of timetable.

 This web application can be used any staff of the organization for easy managing all their leave related work like requesting for the
leave application and getting notification on whether their leave request is granted or not.

 Further, it will provide both flexibility and convenience for the staff of organization.
FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

 In Future work, This application to develop a cross platforms like IOS, etc.

 In adding the more features subject allocation management application to develop access with user’s flexibility.

 To authenticate the users based on the system users list which is maintained by the operating system

 To restrict the usage of all files by the users based on their privileges on the system
