Most Popular Operating Systems

• Microsoft Windows.
The Windows OS has been around since the 1980s and has had several
versions and updates (including Windows 95, Windows Vista, Windows
7/8/10, etc.)

Apple and Macintosh computers run on the proprietary macOS and OS X
system

• Google's Android OS.


The OS that companies including Google use to run its Android mobile
smartphones and tablets is based on Linux distribution and other open
source software. 

• Linux Operating System.


Linux is different from Windows and Apple in that it’s not a proprietary
software, but rather a family of open source systems.
Windows 10 launched

2015 and was touted as
"the last version of
Windows", marking the
end of decades of
occasional heavy duty
OS updates in favor of a
more incremental
approach.
Cortana is Microsoft’s intelligent personal
assistant, responding to naturally spoken
or typed commands. That identical
functionality is now integrated into the
desktop, called upon via the taskbar search
bar or indeed with the “Hey Cortana”
command.
Codenamed Project Spartan in development, Microsoft Edge is a brand new web
browser for Windows 10

Edge actually replaces Internet Explorer as the default browser across Windows 10 platforms.
For many, this moving away from an iconic, albeit often maligned, browser is of most
interest and brings some innovative features
