INTRODUCTION

• In today’s generation, internet has certainly become a huge part of our lives. A lot of
people depend on the internet to do many different varieties of tasks. Some used it as a
form of medium for communication and business, while others mainly used it as a
universal source of information. When it took a recognizable form in the 90’s, it has
grown to serve millions of users and a huge number of purposes in all around the world.
There is about 4 billion of internet users at the end of the year 2017 and 48.7% of these
users came from the Asian continent. In the Philippines, there is about 67 million internet
users which makes us one of the greatest numbers of internet users in Asia.
INTRODUCTION(CONT…)

• Time is the undoubtedly the most valuable resource, but it is inevitable to save it with all
the possible ways. Places like Convenient Stores, Malls, Shops, Cafés, etc. have
automation for the automatic delivery of the products to the customers. A vending
machine is type of automation which reduces time and reduce the human effort required
to recognize, count, and delivery of the product. For example, the Car Wash Vending
Machine, Charging Station Vending Machine, Loader station Vending Machine, etc.
These types of machines require minimal effort and delivers such product with precise
quantity making it more efficient.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

• How to develop and construct a Solar-Powered Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Vending

Machine with e-loading System that operates 24 hours?
• How to provide internet access to every customer using the Solar-Powered Wi-Fi
(Wireless Fidelity) Vending Machine with e-loading System?
• How to load Mobile phones of every customer using Solar-Powered Wi-Fi (Wireless
Fidelity) Vending Machine with e-loading System?
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

• General Objective:
To develop and construct a Solar-Powered Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Vending
Machine with e-loading System that operates 24 hours.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY(CONT…)

• Specifically aims to:

• To provide internet access to every customer using the Solar-Powered Wi-Fi (Wireless
Fidelity) Vending Machine with e-loading System.
• To load the Mobile phones of every customer using Solar-Powered Wi-Fi (Wireless
Fidelity) Vending Machine with e-loading System?
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

• The result of this study will be beneficial and significant to every person who used
laptops and mobile gadgets in times of emergency and rush time to connect to the
internet. It can provide better service and efficiency to every person who uses Solar-
Powered Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Vending Machine with e-loading System. It will also
help the engineering students to apply their knowledge in constructing Solar-Powered
Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Vending Machine with e-loading System. The study is also
significant to the researcher for the additional knowledge on constructing Solar-Powered
Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Vending Machine with e-loading System.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION

• This study only involves the developing and construction of the projects that operates day
and night, and to provide internet to every person. The scope of this project study is only
available to some places or internet cafés where the internet is in demand by the number
of hours ranging from (1, 2, 3, 4) only with the amount of (3, 6, 9, 12) only with the
corresponding old Philippine Peso coins (1, 5, 10).
• The limitation of this project is the internet speed which depends on the weather
conditions or maintenances from internet service providers. The project can only read old
Philippine Peso coin and will not recognize newer Philippine Peso coins.
OPERATIONAL DEFINITION OF TERMS

• Alligator Clip – used to connect wire to the battery.

• Raspberry Pi – component where program is being loaded and analyzed the command that is displayed in the
LCD.
• ARPMiner – An application for setting up an additional login page requires the software to sit in between the
adapter that acts as the access point and the adapter that accesses the internet to intercept web traffic and redirect to
the login page before allowing access.
• Battery – used as power storage that can be utilized during the absence of sunlight.
• Diode – allowed the produced current of the solar panel to flow directly to the battery and will not flow back to the
solar panel.
• Exhaust Fan – a fan that blows heated air out of the housing box.
OPERATIONAL DEFINITION OF TERMS(CONT…)

• Fuse – used to limit the current in the circuit.

• Housing Box – used as housing for the whole system and for security protection.
• i2c LCD Display – used as display panel of numbers.
• Number Keypad – used to input desired consumer hours.
• Router – used to connect the local network to the internet.
• Solar panel – used as a main source of power.
• Universal Coin Slot – where coins were being dropped to access the machine.
