SCM-Inactive Products (Sales/Purchase/Inventory)
Process:
Users will typically use the field "Product
Life Cycle" in the material master data to
update the status to "Sunset" or "Inactive"
to stop using a certain material or make
it inactive temporarily in the D365
system. This will simply stop the material
for the MRP being considered (Material
Requirement Planning).
It is the user's obligation to manually stop
certain transactions such as purchases
order, sales order, and inventories under
the "Default Order Settings" available in
the Material Master Data in order to stop
the material for manual transaction
generation. 

KPI Solutions:

We've created a KPI report that will show


all of the materials with statuses like
"Sunset" and "Inactive" and manual
transactions that haven't been stopped.

Sales - Product inactive (SCM) & Active (SAP)
Process:
The sales block is currently not included
in the D365 integration; therefore, users
must block the material in their
individual systems separately. The failure
of sales order integration occurs when
this is not aligned between the systems.
When the material is active in the SAP
system, the sales order can be created
freely, whereas it is blocked in the D365
system.

KPI Solutions:

We've created a KPI report that shows


which materials are inactive in the D365
system but active in the SAP sales
system.

Purchase - Product inactive (SCM) & Active (SAP)
Process:
The D365 integration includes the
purchasing block. In SAP, we also have an
initial material creation block active.
Purchase order integration will fail if this
is not aligned between the systems. The
purchase order integration will fail when
the material is blocked in SAP but active
in the D365 SCM system.

We've created a KPI report that shows


which materials are inactive in the D365
SCM system but active in the SAP
purchase system.

Process:
Master data should be synchronized
between D365 and SAP according to
business process expectations.
It's pointless to have an item active in
one system but disabled in another.
This may result in transaction processing
issues on the respective systems.

which materials are blocked in the SAP
system but active in the D365 SCM
system.

Process:
Master data should be synchronized

Since D365 is a procurement system, it
leads to PO integration errors.

Sales - Item Active (SAP) Missing (D365)
Process:
One of the most significant KPIs for sales
order integration is this one. We simply
migrated the valid materials as part of
the data migration, not the entire list. As
a result, many materials are left in
legacy as-is, despite the fact that the
D365 SCM/CRM system does not handle
them. Due to lacking material in the D365
SCM system, many of the sales order
integrations will fail.

and completely missing in D365 SCM

Purchase - Item Active (SAP) Missing (D365)
Process:
In many cases, the procurement team
was unable to locate valid materials for
urgent orders in the D365 SCM system,
causing delays in the buy process. It is
later found that the materials have not
been sent to the D365 SCM system.

How to access Product data quality SCM Vs SAP KPI?
This is one time the user should
perform to access the KPI, then
the KPI will added to the user
credential
• Step 1: Go to Product
information management
• Step 2: Click on workspace
and Released product
maintenance as shown below
• Step 3: Click on the Option
and select Open report
catalog
• Select and Check the
“Product data quality SCM Vs
SAP” as shown in screen shot
Refresh the url once then we
can find the Reported added in
the Power BI report section
