INTRODUCTION

The garment industry consists of various stages of manufacturing, one of which is sewing with multiple operations,
and many types of equipment for spreading, cutting, assembling fabrics, and attaching accessories. The sewing
industry requires intensive skilled labor and complex machines for various sewing technologies.

To compose a sewing line requires a lot of input data such as product type, sewing movement, working time for each
sewing task, skill level of sewing machine operator, and selection of the right set of machines. Industry 4.0 has
significantly changed traditional business operations processes. Artificial intelligence is a promising solution to
provide optimal results for line balancing problems in garment industry with shorter lead times and more stable
production than traditional mathematical methods due to advanced computing technology.

providing big data software with the advantages of being user-friendly, easy to understand, easy to store, and easy
to retrieve, the author focuses on building data input libraries, determining requirements, proposing algorithms and
designing functional modules, designing work interfaces, storage database systems, system security and create a
software user manual that analyzes the labor manipulation process of garment workers.

Step 2 Step 4
Sewing Packaging
Step 1 Step 3
Cutting Finishing

Sewing is the most crucial and intricate steps in this gArment Manufacturing Process, because in sewing process we have to deal with a
large number of varied operations. Thus successful sewing process needs to be optimized regarding different factors, including time,
sewing equipment, and skilled workers.

2.2 The Advantages of Software

The software for analyzing the sewing process of knitted products is built with the aims of providing
referred technological sewing processes, sewing operations, and calculating the time to perform the
sewing work of knitted products.

1 Database Requirements Google App Engine + Google Cloud Data Store

● Product database management function

2 Functional Requirements ● Managing the database of product technological sewing process
● Managing the database of the moving process

The software offers several key functions such as

User Convenience decentralized management function, adding and editing

2.3 Methods and Techniques Used in Designing Software for Analyzing the Sewing Process of Knitted Products

2.3.1 Algorithm 2.3.2 Google Web Toolkit (GWT)

GWT is an open-source framework for web

development in Java language started and
managed by Google. The main difference
The parameters were defined as follows: between GWT and other frameworks is that on
l : Seam length GWT, the client-server application is written in
Java language instead of JavaScript, using
m : Stitches per centimeter
available Java development tools such as Eclipse
n : The maximum speed of a machine and Netbeans.
0,0006 : Factor to convert minutes to TMU's.
Moreover, GWT only uses a single programming
Hc: Factor indicates the degree of Guiding & Tensioning (Tab. 2) language to write web applications for both

2.3.4 Sewing Motion Time Analysis Technique by MTM and GSD

Sewing time basically is the time for making seams on

the machine. To calculate, we need to analyze factors
affecting the sewing time. The sewing time is mainly
influenced by the machine speed, stitch length, stitch
density, and a number of stops. Seams and difficulty
levels can be divided into 4 groups depending on the
type of seam made for each sewing operation in Table 2

The software uses the code table list, data card with the
motion sequence of the MTM (Method Time
Measurements) and, the predefined time system GSD
(General Sewing Data) to analyze the sewing
preparation time shown in Table 5
