Stripping Procedure
How to obtain best stripping results:
• Trim list of vessel
• Back pressure
• Wear-ring condition
• Type of ship – Single bottom/ Double bottom
• Cargo pump speed
• Suction well design
• No leakage on cargo discharge valve
• Type and production year of cargo pump.
• Sufficient air/purging medium (7 bar).
Stripping connections/pipes.

Cargo Heating
Framo Cargo Heaters

HE225/750 HE400/1000 HE500/1000

Framo Cargo Heaters. • ”Clean” tank surface – easy tank
washing.
• The heater is only exposed to
cargo when heating is required.
• Easy maintenance – on deck only.
• Forced circulation and high
velocity of cargo through heater
means lower surface
temperature and risk of
carbonising avoided.
• Easy regulation of temperature in
each tank.
Easy maintenace – On deck onl

Evaluation Test
For Framo Cargo Pumps

Test procedure
Each cargo pump to be tested against a closed discharge valve.
Hydraulic system pressure to be at maximum.
Record hydraulic pressure at control valve and cargo pressure at top cover plate.

Corrections
Ullage and specific gravity.
Control of results
Check the results against the actual pumping curve.
