THE OUTER PLANETS JUPITE
• The jovian planets refer to a group of four planets in the solar R
system.

• The four Jovian planets are:

SATUR
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
N
• The larger planets are significantly more massive and have a
greater volume than the inner planets.
URAN
• Jovian planets are located farther from the sun than terrestrial US
planets
NEPTU
NE
JUPITER
• Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system.
• ·The volume of Jupiter being 1,321 times of that the Earth.
• It has at least 63 moons.
• Jupiter is the fourth brightest object in the sky and one of the five
visible planets.
• considered the prototype of gas giants.
• Jupiter experiences 200 times more asteroid and comet impacts
than Earth
SATURN
• Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun, with the largest planetary rings
in the Solar System.
• ·The volume of Saturn being 764 times that of the Earth.
• Saturn is now the “king of the moons” in the Solar System, having a
total of 82 moons confirmed.
• One of the five visible planets.
• The rings of Saturn are the most extensive of any other planet. They
cannot be seen without an unaided eye.
Uranus
• Uranus is the seventh planet discovered in the Solar System, it is the third-
largest planet of the Solar System.
• Uranus has a volume which is about 63 times the volume of Earth
• Uranus has 27 known moons orbiting around it
• Uranus has the coldest planetary atmosphere in the solar system
• The interior of Uranus has been stated to be made up primarily of ices and
rock.
• It takes Uranus 84 years to complete an orbit of the Sun.
• Uranus has 13 known rings around it.
Neptune
• Neptune is the fourth largest and the farthest planet of the Solar System
with the most powerful wind speeds out of all the planets.
• ·Neptune has the volume 58 times of the Earth.
• Neptune has 14 known moons.
• Neptune was given the name of the roman god of the sea due to its
bluish-ocean like color.
• Neptune has the fastest wind speed of any planet.
• Neptune has a total of 6 known rings.
