    Introduction
     Drones are more formally known as
    Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). or
    Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS).

     Drones stand for Dynamic Remotely


    Operated Navigation Equipment.

     UAV can run without a human pilot and it


    can be controlled by remote devices or
    computer.
    History

     On 22 August 1849, the


    Austrians used UAV for the
    first time and attacked
    Venice using Unmanned
    Balloons loaded with
    explosives.
    History
     Nikola Tesla invented a small unmanned boat that changes direction
    on verbal command by using radio frequencies to switch motors on
    and off.
     The first pilotless radio controlled aircraft were used in World War I. In
    1918, the U.S. Army developed the unmanned ‘flying Bomb’ aircraft,
    which uas never used in combat.
     In 1935, the British developed “Queen Bee”, a radio-controlled target
    drone, which is also believed to have led to the use of term “drone,”
    for radio-controlled unmanned aircrafts.
     In 1940s, Reginald Denny sold about 15,000 radio-controlled target
    drones to the U.S. Military to train the anti-aircraft gunners for World
    War II.
    History

     In 1958, Curtis Wright Compnay designed Curtis Wright VZ-7 as a


    US Army project which used variable thrust in the four propellers
    to control flight so as to simpligy the workload for the Pilot.
     Miniature and Micro UAVs became the part of research and soon
    came into action in 1990.
     In 2010, the Parrot AR Drone. a smartphone controlled
    quadcopter for consumers was introduced at the Consumer
    Electronics show in Las Vegas.
    History
    In 1986, Reconnaissance Drone was joint US and Israeli project which
    produced the “RQ2 Pioneer”, a medium sized reconnaissance drone.

     MQ-9 Reaper, A Hunter Killer Surveillance Uav (also known as
    Killing Machine) they are usually deployed for Military And
    special operation applications.

    Photography. (also for educational and research purposes).

    Working Principle

    While drones serve a variety of purposes, such as recreational, photography, commercial


    and military, their two basic functions are flight and navigation.

    To achieve flight, drones consist of a power source, such as battery or fuel, rotors,
    propellers and a frame. The frame of a drone is typically made of lightweight, composite
    materials, to reduce weight and increase maneuverability during flight.

    Drones require a controller, which is used remotely by an operator to launch, navigate


    and land it. Controllers communicate with the drone using radio waves, including Wi-Fi.
    In order to keep the quadcopter stable, the thrust of each rotor
    should then be increasing order for compensation.

     Drone will play a major role in almost all fields in near future.
     Drones have become necessary to the security of the Nation.
     Drones are cheap and effective war tools that save the lives of
    Human pilot.
     Drones are an advancing technology that will help in our daily
    lives.
