This document describes a gesture-based home automation system for physically disabled people. The system uses an APDS-9960 sensor connected to an Arduino board to detect gestures and control four home appliances - two 15W bulbs, a 12V DC fan, and a DC motor. A display shows the user which appliances can be selected and controlled by swiping and moving their finger to turn devices on and off. The goal is to design a useful system that allows disabled users to control home appliances through hand gestures detected by the sensor.
