II. Target Date of Implementation: June 10,2022
III. Project Location: STA. MONICA CHURCH
IV. Implementing Units: SARRAT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

V. RATIONALE

“Cleanliness is next to godliness”

The expression cleanliness is next to godliness is used to encourage personal

hygiene and neatness, likening cleanliness to spiritual devoutness and goodness. In
other words, it’s used to say that it’s almost as important to be clean as it is to be
virtuous and good—even that keeping your home and your body clean is the right thing
to do morally, or that doing so brings you closer to God.

Most people claim to care for the environment, but what people care for and the
motives for their concern are vastly different. People see the environment as a
"common" that is open to anyone being overused and deteriorated. For immediate
personal gain, individuals continue to manipulate the environment, ignoring the long-
term consequences of their behavior. Sustaining the environment helps prevent global
warming and climate change. One example of the sustainability of the environment is
simply cleaning. Environmental cleanliness adds a lot to keeping a clean and green
environment. An easy but beneficial way to improve a safe environment is cleaning.

YES-O is a youth-led club of the Science Department of Sarrat National High

School. This organization aims to foster a school and community with a sense of
responsibility of empowering students through projects and activities. Aside from
keeping the cleanliness of the school, we also care for the cleanliness of the community
specifically our church. The club wants to help the church stay clean and to become an
environmental-friendly place for all the youth.
Environmental sustainability is responsibly interacting with the planet to maintain
natural resources and avoid jeopardizing the ability for future generations to meet their
needs. One example of environmental sustainability is simply through cleaning.
Cleanliness in the environmental contributes a lot in maintaining a clean and green
surrounding. Cleaning is a simple but helpful way of improving a healthy environment.

A Community Clean Up Drive promotes waste reduction, recycling and reuse and
create public awareness on waste management and environmental concerns, improves
outdoor recreational activities of the community and the quality of the natural
environment.
