Military robots are autonomous robots or


remote-controlled mobile robots designed for
military applications, from transport to search
& rescue and attack. Some such systems are
currently in use, and many are under
development.

Cobots
(collaborative robots)
Cobots, or collaborative robots, are robots built
inside a shared space for direct human robot
interaction, or where people and robots are in
close proximity. Cobots can have many uses,
from information robots in public spaces (an
example of service robots), logistics robots that
transport materials within a building, to
industrial robots that help automate
unergonomic tasks such as helping people
moving heavy parts, or machine feeding or
assembly operations.
Nanorobots

Nanorobotics is an evolving field of technology


developing machines or robots whose
components are 10-9 meters (at or near the
scale of a nanometer).Potential uses for
nanorobotics in medicine include early
diagnosis and targeted drug-delivery for
cancer, biomedical instrumentation, surgery,
pharmacokinetics, monitoring of diabetes, and
health care.

In agriculture, the use of robots is
closely related to the idea of AI-
assisted precision agriculture and the
use of drones. Research from 1996-
1998 also showed that a herding task
can also be performed by robots.
Domestic robots

A domestic robot is a form of service robot, an


independent robot that is used primarily for
household chores, but can also be used for
education, entertainment, or therapy. There
are only a few limited models so far, although
speculators, like Bill Gates, have suggested
that in the future they could become more
common.
Medical robots

A medical robot is a robot used in the


medical sciences. They are used for
performing surgeries, disinfecting
areas, providing off-site medical
assistances. Besides been used in
pharma industry, they are even used
for rehabilitation and related
procedures, such as training and
therapy.
Construction robots

In the handling and manipulation of bricks and


other heavy blocks, construction robots are also
used. When carried out by human labour, brick
and concrete block laying can be demanding
both physically and mentally. While few robots
have been used on the job, studies have shown
how the use of robots in this area could be
helpful.
