INTRODUCTION:
Interlocking concrete paving blocks (ICPB) has been extensively used in a
number of countries for quite sometime as a specialized problem solving
technique for providing pavement in areas where conventional types of
construction are less durable due to many operational and environmental
constrains . Interlocking concrete paving block technology has been
introduced in India in construction, a decade ago, for specific requirement
viz.Foothpaths ,parking areas, gardens, etc. But now being adopted extensively
in different uses where the conventional construction of using hot bituminous
mix or cement concrete technology is not feasible or desirable.
Interlocking pavers has been said to originate from the Ancient Romans 2000
years ago. The Romans attempted to build roads from simple materials and
construction, However this simple system of road buildings was able to last
millennia and centuries until today. It is said to have an excellent material
construction which makes it stand in virtually any type of natural condition .
The mechanism inside the interlocking pavers is that they interlock through the
use of sand. This resembles the use of bricks and stones suggesting that to
interlock pavers can be a fruitful alternative to the classic means of pavement
and road construction.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Paver blocks are very durable, and if they are adequately interlocked, they can easily last for
about 20 years.
2. Interlocking pavers connect together through the use of sand and can cover any patio, decking,
driveway or walkway.
3. Virtually any application that bricks or concrete would be used for, interlocking pavers is
another alternative. Interlocking pavers are available in many colours and design.

Abstract:
In India, interlocking paver blocks usage was highly improved from the past decades.
Now these days parking, pedestrian and vehicle moving areas are filled by paver
blocks. Some of issues have been studied in the paver blocks in earlier like weak in its
strength and durable. By replacing the cementitious materials by fly ash or rice husk
ash and changing aggregates by fiber it was fulfilled. This paver blocks carries over
the extraneous of aggregates and the binding materials used in paver blocks.
Comparing with the natural fiber the artificial fiber plays a very optimum role in
strength characteristics and absorption of water seems to be medium in level.
Keywords: paver blocks, weak – strength and durable, fly ash, rice husk ash, fibers.

METHDOLOGY:
RAW MATERIALS :
Aggregate(6mm to 20mm).
Crushed stone dust.
OPC (Ordinary Portland cement).
Water.
Concrete Admixtures Chemicals.
Colors.
Coating(for surface glossy look).
MACHNES/EQUIPMENTS:
1. VIBRATOR:
The vibrating table is
used to compact concrete materials
inside cubes,cylindres and beam
molds. It can deliver the vibrating
movement controls by vibro
compacting motor with fixed
amplitude.
It costs around 45,000.
