This document presents a PPT on cloud computing by Sartaj Ahmad and Zubair Kasgar. It defines cloud computing as accessing applications over the internet as utilities without worrying about maintenance or management of resources. The key benefits are lower costs, improved performance, unlimited storage, and device independence. Cloud services are divided into Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). IaaS provides the foundation, PaaS delivers platforms via the web, and SaaS is consumed directly by end users.

INRODUCTION
Cloud Computing provides us a means by which
we can access the applications as utilities, over
the internet .It allows us to create ,configure ,
and customize applications online .

With Cloud Computing users can access database

resources via the internet from anywhere for as
long as they need without worrying about any
maintenance or management of actual resources.
WHAT IS CLOUD?

The term Cloud refers to a Network or internet.

In other words , we can say that cloud is
something , which is present at remote location.
Cloud can provide services over network, i.e.,
On public network or on private network i.e.,
WAN,LAN or VPN
Applications such as e-mail , web conferencing ,
customer relationship management (CRM),all
run in cloud.
WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING?

Cloud Computing refers to manipulating,

Configuring , and accessing the applications
online . It offers online data storage ,
infrastructure and application.

Cloud Computing is both a combination of

software and hardware based computing
resources delivered as a network service

WHAT ARE CLOUD STACKS ?
Cloud services can be divided into 3 stacks:

 Infrastructure as a Service : IaaS

 Platform as a Service : PaaS

 Software as a Service P : SaaS

Infrastructure as a Service : It serves as a
foundation for the other two layers, for their
execution . The keyword behind the stacks is
virtualization .
Platform as a Service : It deliver the platform
on the web , and in most of the cases you can
consume the platform using your browser , i.e. no
need to download any software.

Software as a Service : This is the top most

layer of the cloud computing stack directly
consumed by the end users.
