Know Exposure

• Exposure broadly also called lighting,

on a DSLR there are "special" modes of
EXPOSURE type, such as family,
fireworks, sports, close up dll.

Exposure formed from 3 main elements

or commonly called a triangle Eksposur
(Eksposure triangle)
1. Shutter Speed (Kecepatan)
2. Aperture/ Diafragma ( Bukaan
Lensa)
3. ISO
Exposure Triangle
(segitiga ekposur)

1. Shutter Speed
a mechanism that controls how long the sensor is exposed to light. The longer the
shutter is open the more light the sensor can capture
-Shutter speed  height will result in a freeze/immovable object
-Shutter speed slow will capture the movement of a moving object (image becomes
blurry)

2. Aperture/Diafragma
a mechanism that controls the width of
the lens aperture as light passes
to the sensor.
The larger the aperture value, the less
light is captured by the sensor
(dark photos)
The smaller the aperture value the
more light is captured by the
sensor (Bright photo)
f / 1.4 (biggest aperture)
f / 2
f / 2.8
f / 4
f / 5.6
f / 8
f / 11
f / 16
f / 22 (smallest aperture)

3. ISO
A measure of how sensitive the camera
sensor is to light.
Settings determine the high and low
exposure of the photo.

- The higher the ISO the more sensitive the sensor is, the resulting image will have
lebih banyak cahaya (makin banyak noise)
- the lower the ISO then more too little light that enters the camera sensor. (lower
noise)
