Missio dei is a Latin word which means:
“God being sent” / “the sending of God”
Jurgen Moltmann
Further, at the Willengen Conference, 1952:
"Even the Church is only an instrument
in the hands of God. The church herself
is only the outcome of the activity of
God who sends and saves.
“Mission is not primarily an
activity of the church, but
an attribute of God.
God is a missionary God.
David J. Bosch
• God's mission in the world - to save the world in a special
relationship with the Godhead, namely the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• God the Father sent Jesus, and both (God and Jesus) sent the Holy
Spirit.

Our Critical View, as a calling in our ministry
(our group reflection)– based on this presentation:
Never think of ourselves as a great figure in carrying out
the mission of salvation around the world. This is God's mission.
Sometimes we think about who will be the next leader in our church
organization. We ask: Is he great? Is he smart? What was his
extraordinary experience that he could be chosen as a leader? We
realized that this thingking is wrong. Remember! The church is a
tool, leaders are tools, we are also tools. We are all God's missionary
tools for His missionary work.
We must not think that: ‘The Church organization or the Lord will
lose me as a valuable asset if I am belittled or if I am not in this
ministry’. This is very wrong thinking. Even in the Bible, God can use
stones to speak on His behalf.
Sometimes we think that "mission" is about programs and church
activities, but the essence of missio dei (God's mission) is “sending
ourselves to serve others”.
