Definitions
• A film director tells actors and actresses what to do.
• The film crew work as a technical team.
• A production company organizes everything in a movie to be made.
• A viewer is the person who watches a movie or a TV program.
• A cinema operator is the one who is paid to play movies in a cinema or theatre.
• A series is a set of television or radio broadcasts on the same subject or using the same characters but
in different situations.
• Episode one of the single parts into which a story is divided, especially when it is broadcast on the
television or radio
• Soundtrack: the sounds, especially the music, of a film, or a separate recording of this.
• Presenter: someone who introduces a television or radio show.
• Editor: a person who corrects or changes pieces of text or films before they are printed or shown, or a
person who is in charge of a newspaper or magazine.
• Plot: the story of a book, film, play, etc..

• Shot: a short piece in a film in which there is a single action or a short series of actions.
• Cast: the actors in a film, play, or show
• Script: the words of a film, play, broadcast, or speech:
• To be captured: to emphasize, represent, or preserve (something, such as a scene, mood, or quality) in
a more or less permanent form
• To be broadcast: to send out by radio or television from a transmitting station
• To be released: If a company releases a film or musical recording, it allows the film to be shown in
cinemas, or makes the musical recording available for the public to buy.
• To be cut: to remove something from something else.
