Reading
O Reading is the process of looking at a series
of written symbols and getting meaning from
them.

O Reading is a complex task which involves


both decoding and comprehending the
text.
Reading Comprehension

- refers to the ability to understand


information presented in written
form.
Comprehension is the process of simultaneously extract -
ing and constructing meaning through interaction and
involvement with written language. It consists of three
elements:
 The reader
 The text
 The activity or purpose for reading

student gives his reasons for disagreeing with the
columnist’s views.
