• One of the most popular group games. It is
a sports that pits two teams against each other in a test of strength. MECHANICS 1.Form two teams of at least six people each. 2. Line both teams up on their respective ends of the rope. 3.Each team gets on either side of the rope and tries to pull the other team across the ground marker. 4. A team wins when the marker on their side of the rope crosses the center point. VARIATION • UP-TO-CREEK- A team starts to lose when the players in front are already in the creek or mud • TIMED TUG-OF-WAR-After 30 seconds the team with the longer part of rope wins. • BEANBAG PICK UP-A beanbag will be placed two meters behind the last player on each and of the rope. • PAUL REVERE’S TUG-OF-WAR- The first team to pull other team to their side wins. or Jack En Poy game. MECHANICS 1. The team with equal number of members will play the game. Each team must have a leader. Then they will line up, facing opposite directions. 2. The members of the team will choose which character to play when they face their opponents. They can pick from the following: a. Samson- Grunt and flex muscles. b. Delilah- Put hands on hips and shake hips back and forth. c. Lion- Show fangs and claws and growl MECHANICS 3. When the teacher gives the go signal, the teams must jump and turn around to face each other and out the character they chose. Samson beats Lion, Lion beats Delilah, Delilah beats Samson. 4. A team will be awarded on point if a. the character beats the other team’s or b. one or more members of the other team fail to mimic what the rest of their team acted out. 5. * Is a game that involves running and
improve agility. It is played by two teams with equal number of players each. MECHANICS 1. Two teams with equal number of players will play. There must be a captain for each team. The team captain choose sides and then toss coin to see which team will be throwers and which- will be dodgers. The throwers are divided into two groups who will position themselves on both ends of the court. The dodgers will stand in the middle of the court. MECHANICS 2. The games facilitator will give the signal to start the game. 3. After 5 minutes of play, the remaining players will be counted, which will determine their score. If all the players were touched or hit by the ball, the scoring will be based on the time. The team to hit all their opponents within the shortest time wins. TOUCH BALL -VIDEO KICKBALL • Originally called kick baseball is derived from baseball and football. It involves running and passing and helps develop the players’ agility. The goal of the game is to have the players of the team return to ball from the home base to the field and then circle the bases, while the other team tries to stop them by tagging them “out” with the ball before they can return to the home base. Instead of hitting a small ball with a bat, players kick a large ball. MECHANICS
1. The diamond field is divided
into four territory (settles on four ground or outside the fair territory) and fail territory (settle on fair ground between home and first base, or between home and third base). MECHANICS 2. The class will divided into 2 teams nine players each. 3. The gam starts with the pitcher rolling the ball to a one meter strike zone. The offensive player will try to kick the ball going to territory, so that he/she can run to bases in a counterclockwise manner. If the kicked ball bounces in the four territory, it will be counted as a strike. MECHANICS 4. The kicker is out when a. three strikes are called (four ball is counted) b. the ball reaches the first base before the kicker (force out) c. the kicked ball is caught by any of the defensive players (fly out),or d. the kicker is tagged or hit by a defensive player (tag out) KICKBALL- VIDEO IMPORTANCE AND BENEFITS OF GROUP GAMES 1.
