• New York, April 17, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The data center market in India is
expected to grow at a CAGR of over 4% during the period 2019–2025.
• Last year, the Reserve Bank of India mandated that all data of financial
transactions should be stored on servers located in the country. This means that
banks and fintech firms will have to house their data in India, increasing
demand for data center and cloud facilities in the Country. Oct 29, 2019
• Adani group will be setting up data centre parks with an investment of 70,000
crore over a period of 20 years. Hiranandani however, seems to be moving faster
with their first data centre in Panvel expected to be completed by December and
the remaining are expected to come up over the next 5-7 years.
• And International data center firm, Colt, announced an upcoming facility in Mumbai
to build a 100MW IT hyper-scale data center facility.
• Ascendas-Singbridge Group will also be making an investment of US$1bn in new data
centers across India over a period of five years.
