Japan, one of the world's most literate and technically advanced
nations, is an East Asian archipelago country made up of four
primary islands and more than 6,800 others. While most of Japan
is covered by mountains and heavily wooded areas, the country's
people lead a distinctly urban lifestyle.

how does Japanese people celebrate their new year! 🎉 🇯🇵 🇯🇵.
New Year's has always been an important holiday in
Japan. It's a chance for families to not only reflect on the
past year and their dreams for the future but also to spend
time together, catch up, cook, eat, and play games.
It is a tradition to visit a shrine or temple during shogatsu
(hatsumode). The most popular temples and shrines,
such as Tokyo's Meiji Shrine, attract several million
people during the three days. Most impressive are such
visits at the actual turn of the year.
On every new year celebrations, tourists visit the Temples to do a
tradition called “ hatsumode” During hatsumode, people throw
saisen, or monetary donations, into a saisen bako (box) in front of a
bell.The bell was rung by pulling a thick rope.And then
they make a wish as they ring the bell.
Most impressive are such visits at the actual turn of the year, when
large temple bells are rung at midnight.and fireworks 🎇 🎇.
In Tokyo there’s a major attraction which is watching the Night
bell for the Japanese they believe it that ringing bells could get rid
of their sins from the previous year. The bell was rung 107 times
on the night of New Year, wishing for happy and healthy life , to
pay respect and countdown with families.
And New year still go on til the 3rd of
January
