Smart - Bus Ticket System


INTRODUCTION:

 Bus Ticket Reservation System is a software application to manage all the


activity of the private bus operator. It is application mainly for to book
tickets in the scheduled buses. This application will help company to
book tickets in advance at the counter. The project also provided with all
the option to register new buses, new routes, new schedules etc., This
project very much useful the private bus operator to operate their buses
and also to know the booking details.
 OBJECTIVE:

The main objective of the application is to automate the


existing method of manual booking ticket to computerized
ticket booking system. The other main objective of this system
is to manage all day to day activities the bus operator.
 Scope Of The Project :

 Functionalities provided by Bus Ticket Booking System are as follows :


 Provides the searching facilities based on various factors. Such as
Bus, Booking,Customer, Seats.
 Bus Ticket Booking System also manage the Agent details online for
Customerdetails, Seats details, Bus.
 It tracks all the information of Tickets, Agent, Customer etc
 Manage the information of Tickets
 Shows the information and description of the Bus, Booking
 To increase efficiency of managing the Bus, Tickets
 It deals with monitoring the information and transactions of Customer.

Statement of Problem :

 Currently, the type of system being used at the counter is an internal system
which
 is manually used in selling the bus tickets. The problems facing the
company are
 that customers have to go to the counter to buy bus ticket or ask for bus
schedule,
 customers will also have to queue up for a long time in order to secure a bus
ticket
 and will also need to pay cash when they buy the bus ticket.
Draw backs of existing system :
Here in the Electronic bus ticketing, a detailed study of existing
system is carried along with all the steps in system analysis. An idea for
creating a better project was carried and the next steps were followed.

• Lack of security of data.


• More man power.
• Time consuming.
• Consumes large volume of pare work.
• Needs manual calculations.
• No direct role for the higher officials.
• Damage of machines due to lack of attention
 INPUT AND OUTPUT DESIGN :

 The input design is the link between the information system and the user. It
 comprises of the developing specification and procedures for data preparation
and
 those steps are necessary to put transaction data into a usable form for
processing
 data entry while an output design is a process that involves designing
necessary
 outputs in the form of reports that should be given to the users according to
the

7. CONCLUSION & FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

The project is completed, satisfying the required design specifications.


The system provides a user-friendly interface. The software is developed with
modular approach. All modules in the system have been tested with valid data
and invalid data and everything work successfully.
