display for special occasions and
afterwards rolled up and stored in a
wooden box.

-the images of these two symbolize Japan.
Kimono- traditional Japanese garment and
national dress of Japan.
Cherry Blossoms- has been celebrated in
Japan for many centuries and holds a particular
place in Japan culture.

ARTS FORMS:

Ebisu
-God of Sea and Marine life.

Ebisu is a Japanese god of luck, wealth, and


prosperity, particularly where the sea is concerned; he is
also the patron god of fishermen. Perpetually smiling
and often dressed as a fisherman, Ebisu is one of the
Seven Lucky Gods, and is in fact the only one original
to Japan. His image has seen widespread use throughout
Japan due to his close association with both the wealth
of the sea and business prosperity.
Japan Painting
● Japan painting reflects a refined and serene
sense of dignity. Japanese art is valued not
only simplicity, but also for its colorful
exuberance.
Origami
● “Ori” means folding and
“kami or gami” means
paper.
● The Japanese art of
folding paper into shapes
that look like birds,
animals, flowers and etc.
