Time Clause

Adverbial clauses of time provide context about when an action occurs in relation to another. They contain a subject and verb and use conjunctions like when, before, after, until, while, as soon as, once, and since. The verb in the time clause is usually in the present tense, while the main clause verb can be in the future, present, or past. Time clauses set up the temporal relationship between two events and are useful for showing sequence and simultaneity in sentences.
