SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS

grade 1
I. Objectives
At the end of one hour discussion, 75%
of grade 1 pupils are expected to:
a. identify the addends and the sum of
addition;
b. show cooperation through group
activity; and
c. add the following objects and
numbers.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Addition
Materials: Multimedia presentation, basket, flash
cards
Skills: Adding numbers

III. Procedure

A. Motivation
The teacher presents a “mathematical song” to the
pupils.
“LITTLE FINGERS”
One and One, TWO
Two and Two, FOUR
Three and Three are SIX for me
Four and Four, EIGHT
Five and Five, TEN
Little fingers are on my hand.

I can clap, clap


I can snap, snap
I can clap and snap and clap
I can clap, clap
I can snap, snap
I can clap and snap and clap.
B. Presentation
The teacher presents a tree which have
a fallen leaves on the ground.
C. Discussion
Let the students count the
number of leaves fallen on the
right side and on the left side of
the tree. They will identify what
are the addends and what is the
sum based on the presentation
given.
