SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS:
SPORTS TRACK
TEACHERS
1. With undergraduate degree holder in PE major in sports, sports science and
other related degrees (e.g. Sports and wellness management and / or

2. With master's degree in PE and other related degrees

3. With a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in PE (elementary, secondary


or tertiary level)

4. Must be physically and mentally fit

5. Must be certified by the Red Cross in Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support-
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-CPR)
Preferably with:
a. coaching and/or officiating experience in any sport, certified
level 2 coach and/or official by any sports governing bodies,
has reached any national level competition
TEACHERS
b. work experiences in group exercise or personal
training in fitness, recreational or club setting

c. certification from any respectable and highly


regarded local and international PE, Health,
Fitness, Sports, Recreation &Dance associations
or
organizations Example: National Sports
Association (NSA), American College of Sports
Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and
Conditioning Association (NSCA),National
Association for Sports Medicine (NASM) and/or
American Council on Exercise (ACE)

d. certified instructor in group or individual training


(e.g. Yoga, suspension training) by a reputable
organization
MATERIALS, FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT

1. Standard sized classrooms equipped with audiovisualresources

2. Standard sized courts in common team sports (basketball,volleyball,


handball, etc.)

3. Standard sized dance studio equipped with audiovisual resources

4. Table tennis, badminton, tennis and martial arts facilities

5. Learning resource center (library)locker rooms

6. Comfort, shower and locker rooms


MATERIALS, FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT

7. Cafeteria

8. Equipment: Resistance training equipment, Performance


training equipment: Table tennis, badminton, tennis and
martial arts equipment

Preferably with the following facilities within the school


or community:

a. Track oval
b. Swimming poo
c. Football/soccer field
ICT
1. Hardware: Personal computers, laptop, television set
and multimedia projector
2. Software: PE and sports - related applications
3. Internet service provider and/or Wifi
4. Accessories

SCHOOL LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

Qualifications and Qualities of Sports Track Principal

1. With master's degree in PE and other related degrees

2. With a minimum of 10 years teaching experience in PE


(elementary, secondary or tertiary level)
SCHOOL LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
3. With certification in coaching and/or officiating by any sports
governing bodies or with certification from any respectable and
highly regarded local and international PE, Health, Fitness, Sports,
Recreation & Dance associations or organizations

4. With commendable administrative experience an excellent


managerial skills in PE and sports related jobs for at least 5 years

5. Must be committed, well-organized, capable of multi-tasking and

delegating ( when necessary), updated with the current trends


and Developments

6. With good communication skills (speaking and writing especially


report writing)

7. Must be physically and mentally fit

8. Must be open to others' ideas


COMMUNITY INDUSTRY RELEVANCE AND PARTNERSHIP

1. Relevant National Sports Association (NSA) for accreditation


purposes

2. Releveant agencies and community recognized organizations for

accreditation of recreational sports instruction and leadership (scuba


diving, cave exploration, surfing, wakeboarding, maintaineering, etc.)

3. Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) local chapters for certification in


First Aid, BLS-CPR, water safety or lifeguard

4. Recreational sports clinics (e.g. Milo BEST) or clubs

5. Relevant business and industry for apprenticeship

6. Local personalities to serve as resource persons ( e.g. surfing


instructors, scuba
divers, etc.)
ASSESSMENT

1. Certifications (officiating, coaching, recreational sports


instruction, group or personal training in fitness, standard
first aid, BLS-CPR

2. Evaluation of apprenticeship performance
