Introduction
 Lalsot is a class III town and
also a sub-divisional head
quarter
Jaipur
 It is located at a distance of Lalsot

about 100 Km from Jaipur, the


state capital of Rajasthan.

 As of 2001 census, Lalsot had a population of 28,278. Males


constitute 52% of the population and females 48%.

 It has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national


average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is
46%. In Lalsot, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
VISION & OBJECTIVES
Vision
To develop Lalsot as an equitable and sustainable sub regional
centre in terms of economic and infrastructure facilities with
relation to the people and the environment.

Promoting equitable access to critical infrastructure and facilities

Sustainability
In terms of economic and industrial activities. Also sustainability
with relation to the environment.
Objectives
 To develop Lalsot as a clean and liveable town.

 To improve upon the existing economic scenario, strengthening


it to serve as a mandi and industrial hub.

 To introduce a governance setup that is technically qualified


and professionally equipped to bring about comprehensive
development.

 To strengthen and augment the infrastructure and


transportation facilities so as to improve the general quality of
life.

 To induce equity and sustainability into the living


environment of the town

 Preliminary study of development plans and their various


aspects.
 Evaluation of a plan based upon an evaluative criteria
 Identification of data for the preparation of a master plan.
 Examination of existing information and data on Lalsot town
and sub-region.
 Study of the broader context in which the town has
developed.
