LEARNING STYLES
◦ is biologically and developmentally impose
set of personal characteristics that make certain teaching methods effective for some and ineffective for others. ◦ Every person has learning style- it’s as individual as a signature. ◦ Every normal individual possesses varying degrees of intelligence but the ways in which intelligence combine and blend are as the faces and the personalities of every individual. MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES BY DR. HOWARD GARDNER MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES BY DR. HOWARD GARDNER LINGUISTIC INTELLIGENCE ◦ The capacity to use words effectively, whether orally or in writing. ◦ This intelligence includes the ability to manipulate the syntax or structure of language, the phonology or sounds of languages, the semantics or meanings of languages, and the pragmatic dimension or practical uses of language. LOGICO-MATHEMATICAL INTELLIGENCE ◦ The capacity to use numbers effectively and reason well. ◦ This intelligence includes sensitivity to logical patterns and relationships, statements and proposition (if-then, cause-effect), function, and other related abstractions. The kinds of processes used in the service of logical-mathematical intelligence. SPATIAL INTELLIGENCE ◦ The ability to perceive the visual-spatial world accurately and to perform transformations upon those perceptions. ◦ This intelligence involves sensitivity to color, line, shape, form, space and the relationship that exists between these materials elements. BODILY-KINESTHETIC INTELLIGENCE ◦ Expertise in using one’s whole body to express ideas and feeling and facility in using one’s hands to produce or transform things.
◦ This intelligence includes specific physical skills
such as coordination, dexterity, strength, and speed as well as proprioceptive, tactile and capacities. MUSICAL INTELLIGENCE
◦ The capacity to perceive, discriminate, transform
and express musical forms.
◦ This intelligence includes sensitivity to the
rhythm, pitch or melody, and timbre or tone color of a musical piece INTERPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE
◦The ability to perceive and make distinctions in
the moods, intentions, motivation and feelings to other people. INTRAPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE
◦ Self-knowledge and the ability to act adaptively on the basis
of what knowledge.
◦ This intelligence includes having an accurate picture of
oneself (one’s strengths and limitations); awareness of inner moods, intentions, motivations, temperaments, and desires, and the capacity for self-discipline, self-understanding, and self- esteem. NATURALISTIC INTELLIGENCE
◦ The ability to see connections and patterns
within the plant and animal kingdom and is sensitive to the natural world.
