Introduction
 NCC came into existence on 16 April 1948, through XXXI Act of Parliament.
 The Girls Division of the NCC was raised in July 1949.
 The Air Wing of the NCC was raised in April 1950.
 The Naval Wing of the NCC was raised in July 1952.

 The Motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline”.

Introduction
 Today the NCC has an enrolled strength of more than 15 Lakhs cadets.

 It basically comprises of
 Senior Division for boys from colleges
 Senior Wing for girls from colleges
 Junior Division for boys from Schools
 Junior Wing for girls from schools

 In all three services Army, Navy & Air Force.

 Train volunteer youth to become confident, committed and competent leaders in all
walks of life.
स्वयंसेवक युवाओं को जीवन के सभी क्षेत्रों में आत्मविश्वास, प्रतिबद्ध और सक्षम नेता बनने के लिए प्रशिक्षित करें।
 Enhance awareness levels of cadets to become responsible citizens of the country.
देश के जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनने के लिए कै डेटों के जागरूकता स्तर में वृद्धि करना।
 Provide opportunities and encourage cadets to enrich their knowledge, develop
communication skills and build character.
कै डेट को अपने ज्ञान को समृद्ध करने, संचार कौशल विकसित करने और चरित्र निर्माण के लिए अवसर प्रदान करें और प्रोत्साहित करें।

 Conduct social activities and community development programmes, to make
constructive contributions toward society.
समाज के प्रति रचनात्मक योगदान देने के लिए सामाजिक गतिविधियों और सामुदायिक विकास कार्यक्रमों का संचालन करना।

 Undertake adventure activities to hone leadership qualities and risk-taking abilities.

नेतृत्व के गुणों और जोखिम लेने की क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने के लिए साहसिक गतिविधियों को रेखांकित करें।

Objectives of NCC
 Provide a platform to launch “Goodwill Ambassadors” to project the image of
country overseas.
विदेशों में देश की छवि को पेश करने के लिए "सद्भावना राजदूतों" को लॉन्च करने के लिए मंच प्रदान करें।

 Conduct military training to develop awareness about Armed Forces, leadership

skills and military values thus, provide an environment to motivate cadets to join the
Armed Forces.
इस प्रकार, सशस्त्र बलों, नेतृत्व कौशल और सैन्य मूल्यों के बारे में जागरूकता विकसित करने के लिए सैन्य प्रशिक्षण का संचालन करना,

Organization of NCC
 The NCC is a voluntary organization which is administered through the Ministry of
Defence.
एनसीसी एक स्वैच्छिक संगठन है जिसे रक्षा मंत्रालय के माध्यम से प्रशासित किया जाता है।

 The NCC Headquarters is situated in New Delhi, headed by an officer of the rank of
Lieutenant General.
एनसीसी मुख्यालय नई दिल्ली में स्थित है, जिसके प्रमुख लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल रैंक के अधिकारी हैं।

Training activities of NCC
 Institutional Training
 Training organized in schools and colleges as parades.
 Camp Training
 Formal training organized as camps of 10-12 days duration.
 Attachment Training
 Formal training organized by Attachment
with Army/Naval/Air Force units or
with officer training academies like
Indian Military Academy (IMA) and
Officers Training Academy (OTA).

Training activities of NCC
 Naval Wing Activities:
 Seamanship, Navigation, Communication and other associated naval subjects are
taught to cadets.
 Swimming, Scuba Diving and Wind Surfing are other interesting activities to
which the cadets are exposed to.

 Air Wing Activities:

 Airmanship, Aero modelling, Navigation, Air Frames, Aero Engines and Micro-lite
Flying are taught to cadets.

Conclusion
 NCC as an organization has unified the
youth, not only of our country, but has made
significant efforts to interact with the youth
of other countries through YEP (Youth
Exchange Programme).

एक संगठन के रूप में NCC ने हमारे देश के युवाओं को ही नहीं, बल्कि

YEP (यूथ एक्सचेंज प्रोग्राम) के माध्यम से अन्य देशों के युवाओं के
साथ बातचीत करने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण प्रयास किए हैं।
