.Snapdragon is a powerful smart
processor.
INTRODUCTION
. Snapdragon is a popular
series of processors for
smartphones, tablets, and other
mobile devices.
 
.The first Snapdragon product to be
made available to consumer device
manufacturers was the QSD8250, which
was released in November 2007.

. It is a part that holds the whole


capacity of the mobile phone.

HISTORY
In 4th Quarter of 2008, the first chips in the Snapdragon
family, the QSD8650 and the QSD8250, were made available.
On 1 June 2010, Qualcomm announced sampling of the
MSM8x60 series of Snapdragon SoCs.

On 3 August 2011, Qualcomm announced a plan to use


simple names (S1, S2, S3 and S4) for Snapdragon processors
so that the public can better understand the products.

EARLY PRODUCTS (2007–2009)

.1The first Snapdragon shipments were of the QSD8250

in November 2007. 

. By November 2008, 15 device manufacturers decided


to embed Snapdragon in their electronics products.

. In November 2008, Qualcomm announced it would


also compete against Intel in the netbook processor
market with dual-core Snapdragon system-on-chips
planned .
