Mission, Vision, and Core Values
LITERATURE In a related study conducted by Burklin (2012) which is based on the
conclusion of Burnham, cultivating and nurturing schools needs a clear
CONCEPTUAL vision of what the school aims to be for years. A vision is essential for
FRAMEWORK schools because it focuses on all aspects of organizational life and
informs planning and the development of policies.
As stated by Porter (2015), Mission unifies the school's overall goal
THEORETICAL throughout its enduring journey. Without a clear mission, an
FRAMEWORK organization might lose its primary purpose and will.
As students, they must also take real-life lessons in achieving their
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE purpose. Ideals of the institution or the convictions are referred to as
STUDY core values and stand as the foundation into which the institution is
held accountable (Calder, 2014).

Blended Education
LITERATURE
In a study conducted by Mugenyi Kintu (2017), in order to have

RESEARCH
DESIGN
This is a quantitative study, as it is used to identify patterns and averages, make
predictions, assess causal relationships, and generalize findings to larger populations. It is
also designed to reveal the target audience’s behavior and their perceptions of the specific
issue. This is a correlational research design that tests the relationship between two
variables without being regulated by the researcher. The goal is to find out if there is either:
positive correlation, all variables shift in the same direction. Negative correlation, variables
differ in opposite directions or zero correlation, there is no relationship between variables
(Mcobmes, 2019). The purpose of correlational research is to classify variables that have
some kind of relationship to the degree that a change in one causes a change in the other.
RESEARCH
LOCALE
The researchers will be conducting the research in Mati City, Davao Oriental
particularly in Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy. This school is situated at Quezon
Street, Mati, Davao Oriental.
POPULATION AND
SAMPLE

Sampling methods are used to select a sample from within a general

population. Proper sampling methods are important for eliminating bias in the
selection process. With a population size of 135, data given by the school
registrar, the researchers will consider a sample of 108 respondents determined
using Krejcie & Morgan’s formula for computing sample size with a five percent
margin of error
SAMPLING
TECHNIQUE
Sampling procedure is the sample data that will be generalized to reflect the
population, statistical process that will be used, or stratified sampling according to the
NC State University. This is used to determine the number participants to be included
in the assessment process.
Sample random sampling is a technique in which n units is selected from the
N units most likely to be selected from it. It only includes a single random selection
and requires little prior knowledge about the population
RESEARCH
INSTRUMENTS
Likert Scale is used in assessing this study, data will be interpreted and analyzed using the parameter
limits.
It consists of five (5) as the highest and one (1) as the lowest.

DATA
COLLECTION
For this study, researchers asked permission in getting the population of the Grade 11
Senior High school students of Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy in which respondents
will be selected in conducting this survey. The researchers will also seek permission from
the officials of the school in terms of conducting the research. The survey will be in the form
of google docs or documents that will be disseminated to the respondents through email or
social media accounts since the pandemic is not yet over, the most efficient way to connect
and conduct the study is through the use of technological platforms. In the interview
process, participants will be reminded of the study's purpose, research procedures,
expected benefits, their right to withdraw from the study at any time, and the protection of
confidentiality.
STATISTICAL
TOOLS
Mean and Standard Deviation – The sum of all values being gathered. Mean and
Deviation is used in determining the level of awareness of the Grade 11 student in the
school mission, vision and core values through blended learning with the sets of
questions given. The mean became the basis of providing the level of awareness of the
students.

Pearson’s Correlation – Determines the statistical relationship among students,
between to continuous variables. Person’s correlation is used to determine the
significant relationship between the Grade 11 Students of IHMA in terms of sex and
strand.
