Better together experience for meetings

The Microsoft Teams phone and Teams

Windows desktop client will soon work
“better together” in a new experience
for calling and meetings.
The devices can be coordinated such that
when one device-either phone or PC-is
unlocked, the other automatically
unlocks as well.
While in a meeting using better together
mode on a PC, the call will automatically
be routed to the connected device, in
this case a Teams phone. The connected
device will be shown in device settings in
the pre-join screen.

Analog stations

Analog devices are still a crucial component of

many organizations telephone solution.
Microsoft Teams phone can utilize these
devices through integration with our certified
partners.

1. Analog stations are brought into the Teams phone

space via Direct Routing/SBC configurations.

2. Certified partners use analog gateways to connect

to SBC’s to allow for call routing.

3. Dial plans are then created to allow extension and

number dialing to and from those devices.
Analog device interoperability certification

Direct Routing with SBC allows for connectivity to on

premises analog devices. This in combination with
Analog telephone
dial plans allows us to extension dial analog stations adapters (ATAs)
from the Teams client.
